Just to remind all Forumites interested that the Dulwich Art Group has moved from the Copleston Centre to our permanent premises at 4 Champion Hill (behind the Fox on the Hill pub)and we are hosting a group show of our talented painters.

It may be slightly off the beaten track, but it is well worth a visit.

SE5 8AH. Not sure now if it's Ruskin Court, or the Arts & Craft style cottage adjacent to the Fox, but now guess the latter.

Whcihever, I'm writing this as I didn't notice any sign yesterday, when I was admittedly going to another location on the opposite side of the road. Though I did have a good stare at the cottage.

Hi all Dates and times please?

It's actually in a former Scout Hut just set back from the road behind the Fox (next to the Art & Craft house, you'll see a gap). I went and had a look last week, it's pretty cool. I know the Open Houses are open today, don't know when the event ends...

The Indoor Outdoor Art Gallery in the old Dulwich Village Post Office is cool, too... that will be open all summer though.

    • Anywhere near the Overground/Windrush due to its excellent transport links.  You will get larger place in SE23 for example that will give you enough spare cash for private school if that's what you really want but states schools generally good, reflecting the demographic  Easy to get to the bustling streets of East Dulwich but in ten years see what happens to Forest Hill centre.  The whole of the area is full of green spaces. Access to East Croydon for days out in the South Coast
    • Could East Dulwich or Forest Hill work? Some properties on Underhill Road and Wood Vale have large gardens e.g.  https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/161079866#/?channel=RES_BUY  You'd be close to the Horniman, Dulwich Park and Peckham Rye. Transport might not be what you're looking for though e.g. a 15 minute walk to Forest Hill station for the East London line or mainline into London Bridge.
    • I would leave London, or at a push move back to north London. In SE London if you want to get away in a car you are trapped, always an hour to go the first 10 miles, chugging up to the M4 or round the south circular, which is really just a line someone drew connecting a load of roads. and I know there are trains but first you have to get to those mainline stations, unless you only want to leave London to go to Kent. which I don't.
    • It was you who  made it personal in the first place,  Jazzer. You said you didn't feel safe in the streets,  and you said you didn't go to Central London because you didn't feel safe there. So are you now saying that wasn't "personal"? "Fire from the hip." Another interesting choice of words 🙄 I'm not "demanding" anything! I asked you some perfectly reasonable questions in  response to your own statements. None of which you have answered. Never mind. It seems to be pointless having a discussion with you. It's long past my bedtime. I'm going to turn on my sleep app  and go to sleep 😴💤
