Hi,

My partner and I are getting married later this year and as we have a number of children coming, then we are looking for an entertainer who can perhaps take some pressure off parents and also make the day a little more fun for the kids.

The challenge is that there is a real mix of ages, there will be around 10 children between ages of 2-5 years and then around 12 children between ages of 6-10. I am assuming that what may work for the lower age range, might not work for the slightly older group. Does this mean perhaps two different types of entertainment or could there be a 1 size fits all?

We have a separate room as part of the venue for an entertainer, plus also going to hire some childcare/nannies to help with 'crowd control'. So any advice or tips for this type of children's event are appreciated and of course any recommendations for specific entertainers warmly welcome.

Thank you!

We went to an engagement party recently where they had an "entertainer" for about 2 hours, dealing with roughly the same age group. They had 3 set ups...

- HUGE box of Lego

- colouring / drawing

- bead station where they could make necklaces / key rings / bracelets

The team of 2 interacted wth the children across the 3 activities.

Congrats, and how lovely to have all the children coming. :)

I recommend the Bedlam Bunch, who are organised by Ros Parker. http://thebedlambunch.co.uk/

We have had characters from the Bedlam Bunch at school events and my daughter's birthday party. I've also seen them working together in their group format at festivals, and the children are really enchanted by their work. With two or more entertainers working together, it's easier to accommodate the different ages. You can also customise your entertainment package to include creative activities.

Good luck, and have fun! xx

Hardly ever changed his suit.  Guys I remember are Alan Palmer, Wayne Peck ( had an older brother at the school and I think lived Peckham Road, Longleigh House), Owen McClery, Junior Gayle(Wing Chung master), David Banton , Steven Green ( I think he had green eyes), Rodney Evelyn, David Barton, Raymond Gillman (deceased), Neil Warner, Horace Marshaleck (deceased), Steven Watson (two years younger) I have a picture somewhere of the school winning a cross country event against other schools in the South London Press I think.  Teachers - Miss Pugh, Mr and Mrs Webster, Mr Thomas, New French teacher 1978/79 Miss Anspach, Mr Baugh, Mr Nelson, Mr Patel, Mr Sparks, Mr Dowse, African PE teacher, hard as nails, Mr Fenton for careers, Mr Kemel Also, my brother attended Adrian Lewis, a year younger.

He never had the keys to the NX Rd board as this was outside his ward (now known as Dulwich Hill). The council changed the locks on the boards and we do not know who was given the keys. The gentleman's widow carries on with posting community notices but only on the odd couple of boards whose locks have been broken and she can lift the cover. If I remember correctly, it was the Lib. Dem councillors in ED that initiated the boards.
