Unfortunately we have to put a limit on the file size as all those files take up lots of space on the server, the files alone stand at an impressive 1Gb of server space. You can certainly get good pictures at that size, in Picasa export try exporting at normal setting and playing with the image dimensions.

I've saved Admin's attached pic, 012-1.JPG [554 kb], quickly resized it in Irfanview (free at http://www.irfanview.com/, one of several free packages of the type) to 45% and quarter-size, and saved each as a new file, also in JPEG format. Here are the resized versions.

Original: 2200 x 1650 pixels 554 kilobytes

45% size: 990 x 743 pixels 94 kilobytes

25% size: 550 x 413 pixels 45 kilobytes

My browser even rescaled the original to half-size of its own accord, to fit it all within the screen, but some may not. I doubt that, for most purposes here, uploading anything above a single screen resolution is going to add value, and it's potentially going to make things less easy for anyone using a smaller one. I guess that many users are using 1024 x 768 screen resolutions, and that some may still be using 800 x 600.

    • To be fair, a pot of tea for one in a department store is a small pot, and you only get one cup or mug!
    • I know - we have been here lots of times since it first opened,  which is why we were disappointed that it was closed at a time it was supposed to be open, but with no notice to say why! I guess we will just  have to ask the reason at our next visit, but I'm not sure we will risk Saturday lunchtime again unless we find the closure  was an unavoidable one off ....
    • Nope. I don’t have this wrong. I’ve tried to put my point across respectfully, without resorting to personal, angry insults. And all my colleagues agree that the BBC got this right in its condemnation.    All you see is confirmation bias.    If you don’t realise that, then you’re part of the problem.
    • We have always gone during the week at lunch time - great place and good value. Husband has been several times on his own and owner knows his first name. I could not go one time for some reason and she sent him home with some spring rolls (free)
