Burglary in Adys Road

Unfortunately we were burgled on Friday night (10/11th), on Adys Road.

My intention is not to scare anyone, I post here because it was a fairly bold break in and two of us were in fact in the house and recently moving around. The thief gained entry through two doors, secured only by a Yale lock each, and made their way up to the first floor flat which is us. A Wallet/Laptop/Bike were stolen.

Having spoken to people since, it seems this was the attraction, Yale locks are easy game for these thieves, and if having posted this one more person slides across their deadlock, or has one fitted then it is worth the time to read.

I am really sorry to read you were burgled. I have been trying to get into the habit of deadlocking the door even when we are in the house. This has prompted me to tell my children and husband AGAIN, I am happy to be your one person but I really hope their are others that do the same.

Sorry to hear that, FwAAr. We are also on Adys Rd and were burgled exactly the same way about 18 months ago. It's scary when they break in and you're at home. PM me if you want to compare notes. I assume you reported the burglary to the police.
