Does anyone subscribe to First News, the kids newspaper?

My son really enjoyed the trial copy that we ordered, but isn't a strong enough reader yet for it to be worth a full subscription (it's on the list for his 7th birthday in November). As it's not possible to buy single issues, I wondered if anyone local might be happy to pass on a few recent issues they'd finished with - happy to pay in chocolate.

Are you sure you can't buy single issues? We have bought it from Sainsburys in the past.

Oh, that's good news - my husband says he's looked and never seen it anywhere (which doesn't mean much tbh) and there is no info on their site about single issue distribution, so I assumed I couldn't.

Which Sainsbo's have you found it in? DKH? And is it just in the magazines section? I will go on a recce this week!

No, although my kids get the children's version of The Week and we love it. Some news, but also experiments, quizzes etc.

Definitely there - but yes with the adult newspapers...?2 a copy.

Not sure where you live to know if this is of any help but you used to be able to get it from the post office/newsagents on Forest Hill Road, I haven't checked recently to see if they still do - would be worth checking if it was close to you.
