I feel we're moving onto the next stage of baby classes - young master snowboarder is now walking (running!) around and needs much exercise. We do sing and sign and gymbabes - what have others found good for this age group? There are so many different music type classes but I think one of those is enough really. Any hidden gems out there? We used to swim but the timings don't work with naps (!) at the moment....
today we went to little bubbles in herne hill, lady was lovely but we went to the 2year old class which I think was a bit too structured for AJ (at 15mths) so next week we are going to try the younger class, its at 9.45am if that fits in with nap times? Trial class is free, its a combination of music and movement (poss not enough music for AJ but will see next week) Come with if you fancy? Karen x

Fidget (now 2.5yrs) absolutely loved Sing and Sign. We started when she was about 15months (she went straight into Stage 2). In fact, she still signs sometimes in conjunction with her speech. The songs are brilliant too and we still play them in the car for a singalong.

We also joined Little Bubbles when she was about 17months and again, she loved that - the mix of activities is great.

And also, we've just started Diddidance too, which she is really enjoying (but she's a bit older than yours so perhaps this is one for the future).

Hope that helps.

Yep we do sing and sign already. He doesn't love it to be honest - mostly he wanders around moving bits of furniture around - but I like it!! Gymbabes is good so I was looking for more active stuff - roll on little kickers and diddidance!! Annoying little bubbles times don't work out for us - soon maybe.

The swimming class I do with the little one at Peckham Pulse is 10.30am Thurs so might work? Nightmare to get booked in though. If you drive I really recommend the swimming lessons at Beckenham Spa - they have lots at all sorts of times and the pool is great.

Another vote for Little Bubbles, mine loves it (we're 9.45 on Barry Rd if you ever do make it!).

    • Not sure about that - I'm personally not too bothered by the noise, despite living possibly the closest to the site. I am bothered by the impact on all the wildlife, as should hopefully everyone with a conscience and who care about their community?
    • Their coffee and food is delicious. Really nicely decorated cafe with a nice vibe and a great selection of books too. The owner and staff are all very friendly and happy to chat when preparing your order.
    • The venn diagram of people who are personally really bothered by the noise from GALA and are also deeply concerned about the local bat population looks remarkably just like a circle.
    • Language is a fluid and evolving thing and as it changes the original meaning of words can alter to take on a new true meaning or meanings. Original meaning is not the same as true meaning. Take the word literal which is now used to mean the very opposite of how the word used to be used, irritating for some of us but demonstrates the English language is vibrant and alive and also very subjective. But I must go and make myself a cup of tea now or I will literally die of thirst
