Has anyone seen advert from Tesco saying they will exchange food products if you decided you do not want it can even get money back

All this food now has to go into bins can't be sold again what a terrible thing we have enough waste of food as it is

How is this customer service I never know

Would love to know what others think

Tesco are desperate for customers I think.

They are redeeming Sainsbury's brand match coupons, even if they have expired. Though I think that offer only runs to the end of this month.

I have one for nearly eight pounds which ran out mid April, which I intend to use!

However, if someone doesn't want food they have bought, I'm not sure whether it makes any difference whether it goes into Tesco's bins or their own bins, tbh.

Though it would be nice if it was given to the homeless, assuming it was OK to eat, obviously.

Steven Mangan speaks at me each time I'm in Tesco

"Win extra club card points" he says repeatedly

"I don't have a club card though Steven"

But he never remembers that, and the next time I go, he says it all over again

That and something about "shopping in the bagging area"

And for that, I'm done with him/them

    • I've not engaged in this debate so far but you can't be more wrong. In the UK our own language is English, there is a small minority who can rightly claim their language is Welsh or Gaelic, and a couple Cornish. British Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Christians, atheists etc will usually speak British, even if not their first language.  The vast majority will be able to understand English.   A small percentage, less than two percent, of people living in the UK have little or no English (census data).  It is right that in certain situations eg schools there is signage and information in other languages, providing public information. It is wrong that a political party do this, particularly one who came across as opportunist on this occasion. There is an interesting conversation about British expats living, for example, on the continent, where I expect huge swathes who can hardly say a word of French, Spanish etc.

    • Surely the biggest scandal under Blair's tenure was developments funded under the Private Finance Initiatives (PFIs) where funding came from the private sector at high rates of interest. Around £44 Bn was borrowed for projects which involved costly maintenance contracts for years into the future.
