Hi everyone.

I had a guitar for years and never tried learning how to play till I found this AMAZING website a few days ago that teaches you every thing so clearly from the very beginning as I have never seen anywhere else before. It is a free site.so I thought sharing this might be helpful for others too.

By the way in a few days time practice I can play a few chords (At least I think I can):)

Cheers everyone

He's great. All the way from pure beginner up to advanced. He has a YouTube channel here. Another good YouTube channel is RockOnGoodPeople. If you wanted DVDs I would recommend anything from LickLibrary. You can buy the DVDs off of their site, or from any of the music shops around Denmark St. They have everything from the very basics through to very advanced, covering technique and theory from all sorts of styles.

YouTube generally is a good place if you're starting out. Think of a song you'd like to learn, go to YouTube and enter the search box with 'how to play' or 'guitar chords' etc. There's loads and loads on there.

Good luck with it.

    • As a cafe, yes. And they kept all the chandeliers they hadn't sold as an antique shop still hanging up. They had a real mouse problem, quite well covered up, however.
    • Ah yes, that's right. Didn't Chandelier sell a huge range of different kinds of tea?  That militaria shop was bonkers.
    • Spinach took over from Chandelier, which was then a cafe but had been an antique shop of the same name. Some shops up from Target Arms the militaria shop.
    • My friend and I once did a cocktail crawl down Lordship Lane.  I think we started at Black Cherry (now Franco Manca). It got off to a good start when I knocked mine over and had to buy another one. Liquorish was in there somewhere. The crawl ended with me carrying a chair and her a set of glasses, both bought from an antique shop at some point on the crawl, can't remember where and long gone. Was it where Spinach is now? Somewhere round there. The antique shop, not Spinach!
