  6. Hi everyone. I had a guitar for years and never tried learning how to play till I found this AMAZING website a few days ago that teaches you every thing so clearly from the very beginning as I have never seen anywhere else before. It is a free site.so I thought sharing this might be helpful for others too. 8. Oh so sorry to hear this and poor little dog of yours. Will keep eyes open for this dog and the owner. How can he blame you for having your dog on lead whereas he should have had his one on.I don't like these people who uses dogs to show off their power and simply don't care about the rest of the world. How selfish this world is.Hope your dog will recover from this soon poor thing.
  9. I used adult on my LO one for a couple of days because her,s ran out .Though it says on the tube that a child under 6 should be given a pea size amount bla bla it gave my LO mouth ulcers so she wont be getting any adult toothpaste anymore.I personally think they can be too strong really.Silly me should have known before.
  10. I love this idea.WOW Count me in please.but I am in Nunhead hope this is not only for ED lot.:))
  11. Dear All Sorry I was silent for a while and thanks for all the advice given. What is shocking is each time I get too worried about her and put a post on this forum she starts to eat .Well not a big eater anyway but She did start to eat bits and bobs and actually cried for food this lunch time which has never happened before. It isn't that I get worried if she does not eat for week, this time she was off proper meals for at least couple of months.I have cut down on milk a lot.She only has about 3 breast feeds for the whole day may be four .Now I try not to worry about the mess and let her do what she wants with it,but keep feeding her because she takes a long time to feed her self and most of the times things end up on the floor. When I was really desperate I fed her while she was in the bath, she loves her baths so much she did not even noticed that she was eating. I wish I can a dog Molly but we are on a rented property with no garden so I may have to wait till we have our own place:(When I am really worried about her weight I do take her to get weighed. She is on 25th centile and she had been for the lst few months. So I think I worry too much sometimes but I find it hard not to when she goes on hunger strikes. Have to go do a shop, every one is ready except for me.Thanks again Molly ,Fushia,Snowboader, and Agathoise XX
  12. Does anyone of you have a little one who is willing to not have any food other than milk in the age range of 11-13 months?Or is my little one exceptional? I have seen other kids getting hungry and pulling food from hands of mummy's and daddy's and I have seen kids crying when they are hungry and I thought that's what it is normal. For the last 3 to 4 weeks my Lo is simply living on breast milk and air. At Breakfast when I offer her cereal with grated fruit she wont open her mouth, she plays with bits of toasts and fruit and they all end up on the floor.Sometime she might try to put one or two bits in but never very desperate. Lunch time.I spend time making her something I think she will like and she wont even open her mouth to see what it taste like. She knows her yogurt and that is the only thing that she eats at the moment and ripe pear. Tea time, again the same story.I offer her some finger food and I keep the plate with me to feed her.I tend to feed her my self because I cant get used to the fact that she throws it all on the floor. So she is not good at feeding her self with the spoon.I know I should let her have a spoon. My husband thinks we should take the tough love approach and offer the food and let her do what ever and clear the table after sometime. We did this for one day and she had No food intake at all.He thinks she will wait and wait till she gets her yogurt at the end of the day coz when I cant watch her starve I offer her a little tub of yogurt. I don't understand why she thinks food is such a pain.Has anyone of you had an issue like this with a Lo? I would love to know how to tackle this situation and how you all parents get your LO's to eat. Cheers
  13. If I cant get a cancellation before we fly to Aussie I think I might Lorraine.Do you know of any one good?
  14. We were told get our little one shown by a pediatrician after all since she is a bit slow in her motor skills. She is 13 months and cant still push her self up and the HV are concerned that her little toes are slightly turned out.So I got a referral letter from the GP and the appointment I was given is for the 12th of March? Since I heard this toe thing from the HV I ve being feeling S**t , depressed to be honest and I do not know how to wait till the 29 the of march since that is the appointment I was given after all since we are going to Aussi for a holiday on the 13 Feb bla bla. Does anyone know how to a get an appointment quicker ? sorry may be there is no way ,I have not bing thinking straight for the past few days. Help please Sam X
  15. I would love to meet you snowboarder I have one baby but oh when it comes to food I can bear it anymore. My hubby thinks I am going mad and I think I am too.She seems to be feeding on air these days.I think I am too depressed my self to give you any advice but here is a big hug I know the feeling. XX
  16. Oh Emma G I planned a water birth and I wanted it so much and spend most of my very long labour in it but guess what the baby was born out of it.But it was all so fine.So dont worry .Am sure your midwives will keep a good eye on you(if you are having any) and your loved ones. Dont be so worried, hope it happens when and how you want it to and if it does not you will still have a good story to tell your little one later. Huggs and love From all of us here (me and my baby:))

  19. Hi All I just noticed that my LO's upper gum is discoloured ,it is sort of light brown colour, first i thought her upper two teeth are cutting through, but now a not so sure whether its something else.Has anyone got an idea of what this could be? Cheers Sam

  21. oh I am in the same boat,my Lo turned one and from that day onwards no no to food.I am fed up of throwing every thing in the bin specially after spending hours cooking.I wish I have a friend who can come and stay with me a whole day and show me what is wrong with what I am offering her.All she wants is breast and no way she will take formula or proper meals.HVs are useless and doctors cant do much either. Do we have to let them starve and learn by them selves as my other half believe or force them I dont know? Sorry snowboarder for not being much of a help but when you feel down think that there are many more mommies going through the same thing. Good luck with packing and flying XX
  22. I did this for my husband, saying he is naughty little boy who spends lots of time on his blackberry and office....it was a good laugh but don't think he will change......

  24. Hello All We had the birthday and guess what Maleymoo I baked a cake which went horribly wrong (I even managed to make my husband get food poisoned-it was not baked well I think) and ended up buying a cake from Ayres with butter cream icing,so all the icing I bought from Sainsburys were such a waste, well I can use it for my Birth day perhaps :). Anyway she was not even bothered about the cake and was wondering what to do with it . Thanks mums for the tips I think I will never bother baking one again :) Cheers Sam XX
  25. Hi all:) I am on the big mission of making our LO's first birth day cake. Are there any recipes and tips on how to ice the cake? This is going to be the first time I am gonna ice a cake so treat me as a complete beginner please. I have a starter kit of 3 nozzles and a piping bag and some food colouring as well. Want to keep the icing as simple as possible, and I am thinking of butter icing but any advice and recipes are WELCOME. Thanks mums (dads if there are any involved in this dept). Thanks Sam X
