The SE22 Piano School opens on Monday 6th September after the Summer break. We have a few vacancies for new students to start piano, theory and guitar lessons. We also offer Music Aptitude Test training for entry to local schools such as Kingsdale, Habs, Prendergast and the Norwood School. Vacancies can be viewed online. We accept students from the age of 4 and adult students too. http://www.se22piano.co.uk

My daughter (Y8, just turned 13) cycles from top end of Lordship to Harris Girls (under 10 mins) and occasionally meets friends after school for a little bit before coming home. Always arranges that in advance and is in touch by phone. This weekend she is doing her first evening excursion trick or treating with a friend, she'll take the bus and then get dropped off by their parents on the way back. I generally feel safer with her on the bike than on the bus on her own. I do find that with the disrupted start to Year 7 during lockdown that the friendship groups don't seem that close-knit and they aren't meeting up as much as I used to with my friends at that age. There is a LOT of WhatsApp chat though!

It's not that local but a short ride away, I used Strype Street Cycle in Spitalfields and really happy with the bike fit. Was getting lots of neck pain and also knee ache. All sorted now!

Adult improver swimming lessons wanted
lorraineliyanage replied to Bumblepuppy's topic in Request a Tradesperson
I had some swimming lessons in preparation for an open water swim next month with Jo Rowe at Dulwich College pool. She put in place a training plan to get me ready, I found the sessions really helpful. Here's her contact info: https://www.dcsportsclub.co.uk/instructors-archive/jo-rowe/ -
Sounds great, just dropping you an email about event pricing for our piano school Summer concert.

The Hoppers delivery kit sounds great, must give that a try. Am missing my mum's home-made hoppers Tracy - when I can be bothered I cycle over to Ganesha for my Sri Lankan food fix. They do hoppers on the weekend (I think) and they also do string hoppers all during the week. It's 30 mins on bike from ED or probably half that in the car if you drive. 435 Bromley Road, Bromley BR1 4P

The SE22 Piano School is organising a fundraising piano festival on Tuesday 11 August at 4pm on Zoom. Our first piano festival raised ?175 for Westminster House Youth Club in Nunhead so we're running a second event as the first event was very popular. Open to all pianists, not just our students. See here for more information: http://2ndonlinepianofestival.eventbrite.com
