Summer childminder

I'm 21 years old and have just finished a year my first year at university of Leeds, the year before that I did a year of working as a teaching assistant in primary schools and SEN schools around South London.Considering that the schools years almost finished I am interested in finding childminding work within the working week Mon-Fri until the end of August.I'm open to working around irregular schedules and understand the needs of parents who work jobs and their children who may need supervision during the summer break.

I'd say my strong point is working with younger children, however, working in different primary schools for the whole year has also given me the opportunity to work with different age groups and am comfortable either way.

I also have an in-date CRB record and a previous reference that I will put you in contact with if you are interested in me as your childminder.

My hourly rate is ?10 an hour, however I wouldn't mind discussing other prices if it is an issue.

I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi if you are not registered with ofstead as a childminder you would need to work for the families as a nanny for the summer. Not having a go just thought I'd mention it incase you didn't know. You have to be ofstead registered, dbs checked, public liability insurance, data licence, pediatric first aid and safeguarding in place to care for children longer than 2 hours a day unless you are employed by the families as a nanny where you would work from their property and they would pay your tax etc, in which case you don't need any training, insurance etc. Would hate for anything to happen and you not to be covered.

    • NYE is always like this. If you’re concerned about your pets, please consider seeing a vet as they can help. We give our dog valerian and play calming music, which helps especially after long walks and a big dinner. If it’s for yourself, it’s one night, so also suggest seeing your doctor for advice.  It is loud, although more predictable ( kept to evening:to midnight) than Guy Fawkes celebrations which go on for days and are arguably selfish and inconsiderate. Either way, it’s a very difficult time for many.

    • Happy New Year all, I sent a request for reimbursement of fines issues during all this …. Lambeth Council issued unjust parking tickets. Got a reference number back from them.. not heard for three months and from memory expires in Jan. Been round Lambeth Council offices and got know no where except being passed round in circles. Does anyone have a contact number or name please? Talking about a couple of hundred quid. Please do delete if not allowed but sure others have been effected as well…  Thanks and Happy New Year.
