Heartbreaking they had one child leave recently that had been there nearly 3 years and had arrived when they were only 7 months old. Great the child had got well enough to go home finally. Think they are always looking for new items to amuse the children. -

Hi does anyone know anything about Harri?s kitchen that?s replacing Badger Bakery? I saw it was getting refurbished but just seen on their Facebook page that it?s been sold and it?s now going to be Harri?s kitchen. Does anyone know is it still going to be a bakery or just a cafe now? Won?t be the same without Badgers. Thanks

There is a bug leak on lordship lane opposite the entrance to firemans alley. I've reported it and Thames water van just pulled up on street so hopefully sorted soon.

IVF Private Clinic - any recommendations?
ludoscotts replied to CAZW19's topic in The Family Room Discussion
My friend had 2 successful rounds of ivf at the lister clinic. -
Hi sorry just seen this I?m at 176 overhill next door to old rockbank Hotel. All clear by around 8.45. Was a bit strange especially when they made everyone in the cars stuck on the street to evacuate to the end of the street. Very strange seeing the abandoned cars and hearing the police looking for him in the gardens. Hope there wasn?t gunshots like someone thought they might have heard and that everyone was ok when search moved over to upland road.

It?s outside my house. The pulled over a car which was initially blocking the road then armed police started searching ours and neighbouring gardens looking for a man in a khaki hooded top who was armed. Doing thorough search then asked residents to move to the front of their properties away from windows overlooking back gardens where they weee searching. The helicopter has moved over but police are still searching. And road still blocked off.

Attempted moped mugging- please be careful
ludoscotts replied to ludoscotts's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Sadly it's no use ringing 999 for moped thefts etc as they won't chase mopeds incase they come off and hurt themselves. The officer who came round to speak to me said that they are only allowed to give chase to mopeds if they have had specialist training in following mopeds which they are rolling out across the area but it will take a long time for all to fficers to be able to do this so for the moment it's just report any incident so they can get an idea of the scale of the problem and hopefully some forensic evidence(they wanted my trousers to check for forensic) and they can then bring in suspects but they wouldn't chase them/try to follow them if you called 999. -
Hello. Not wanting to scare anyone but please be careful if walking around with your mobile phone out on view. On Friday at 3.20 pm I was walking along lordship lane(between overhill road and upland road). I heard lots of hooting of horns so I looked and saw 2 mopeds coming along the road towards me. They were hooting at a group of school children(senior school) on the opposite side of the road and the first moped was filming them on his mobile phone. The second moped driver saw me looking and mounted the pavement I was walking along and drove towards me. I had my phone in my hand as I?d been making a call as I left the house and it had just ended. My husband had witnessed a phone mugging by someone on a moped a few weeks ago in London Bridge area and had warned me this was happening so as soon as I realised what was happening I shoved my phone in my pocket. As he got along side me he wolfwhistled and then tried to grab my backside. I wasn?t hurt and nothing taken but I did feel shaken up. I reported it online to the police who came to talk to me last night and they said this was happening a lot in the Bermondsey area. They think that he probably had spotted my phone and was going to snatch it but as I?d stopped that happening he probably grabbed me just to shake me up a bit as he didn?t manage to get anything off me. The hooting of the horn was possibly to get people?s attention on the other moped. If this happens to anyone else even if they don?t get anything it?s worth reporting so they can get a better idea of scale of the problem. Please be careful folks as This was broad daylight.

Hi I've spotted lots of wasps coming in and out of a small hole in our compost bin which hasn't been touched for a long time. Guessing they have built a nest in there can anyone recommend anyone local who could come and deal with them. I've knocked nest down in the shed myself in the past but as this is in the compost bin I'm guessing it would be safer to have protective gear on as we are going to have to open the bin up? Help please.

Hey Liz, there is the lilac door guest house. Don't have the number but will add link below. My father in law stayed here and says it's lovely. There is also a guest house on court lane that has a self contained flat with separate entrance. And the all in one pub behind forest hill said station now rents rooms. Their website doesn't show details but their Facebook page has some pictures and think it's around ?60 a night. http://www.lilacdoor.co.uk/

Attempted child kidnapping by Goose Green Primary
ludoscotts replied to LD929's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Ive just seen on a Facebook page that there was an attempted abjection at Dvis this morning too. They didn't give any other details but surely can't be a coincidence. -
That's really strange a man came up our stairs about a year ago and did a poo on the stairs and obviously got it on himself As he then changed trousers. Didn't try to clear it up. Even left the tissues he used to wipe himself lying there. He must live on our street as I see him going up and down. Similar to the man in the photograph but it's not him.
