  1. verbaudet (www.verbaudet.co.uk) has some lovely coats which come in a dark grey colour which would fit with school policy yet have funky polka dots, and little bows on pockets really sweet for little girls
  2. highly rec eos dance down at dulwich community centre on a saturday morning, teacher is great and my daughter loves it.
  3. hi I took every day its a multivitamin but with boosted levels of magnesium but you can just take for a few days before if you wish and if you are regular and know when to start taking it(which I never knew so took all the time)
  4. hi its worth trying magnesium-ok tablets from boots, some women suffer a huge lack of magnesium when they are ovulating/during periods. makes a huge difference if you suffer from pmt. Also worth trying drinking pure aloe vera juice. I have endometriosis and ive noticed a huge improvement every month in the 3 months ive been drinking aloe vera.
  5. hi they dont do pe for the first couple of weeks until they settle in so ask once they start. they will let you know the week before they start what day of the week they will need their kit so you can ask then. but last year it was dark shorts and polo shirt bare feet then when they were doing outdoor pe it was plimsoles/trainers and if a bit colder a sweatshirt and jogging bottoms. but wait and see if they are changing it.
  6. can second eos my daughter loves the classes and the teacher is lovely.
  7. If bed guard offered is no good I've got some if the travel foam wedges that you put under the sheet to stop them rolling out of bed. Welcome to borrow those. Pick up from overhill road send a pm if interested.
  8. hi congratulations, I was with the lanes midwives and had a home birth for my second child and it was a brilliant experience, highly recommend it. if you have any questions please send a pm, leanne
  9. Hi is she staying for lunch? my daughters nursery would charge for the lunch period as that is not covered by the grant. So we would receive the full 15 hours teaching/nursery time but we have to pay about ?2 per day I think it was for the lunch time period. This was a pre-school not attached to a school.
  10. hi eos dance do classes on a saturday morning ?50-?60 per term depending on ages, My daughter goes there and has just signed up for 2nd year as she loves it, teacher is fantastic and not too strict but gets results. Lovely use of different names for positions for little ones so rather than 2nd position she would say hug your mummy! so sweet. Its held at the community centre on darrell road next door to dulwich medical centre. if you pm me your email address if you are interested and I can get the teacher to email over the new timetable as the times are changing for next year.
  11. We went to hotel bouganvilla in as coma Majorca. It was fantastic for kids. No high rise its all 2 story little blocks sat in lovely gardens. Looks like a Mediterranean village. There is 6 pools 3 of which are perfect for kids paddling. Big splash zone in the main pool. And in the evening there is a big top with kids disco Etc. loved it, we had 1 bed apartment but there is 2 bed ones and studios which still sleep 3. Fridge and 2 rings in each room so you can either self cater but there is restaurant that you can pay to go in 12E for all you can eat or there is lovely restaurants 10 mins walk away. Beach is great and there is free land train down or it's about 15 mins walk. I walked up and down no problem and I was 6 months pregnant at the time. Nice walk along front to next resort. Little supermarkets etc. not huge and commercial like next resort along. If you look into this the only negative I would say is def email hotel direct and ask to be in a room away from big top. We were fine but friends who came with us was kept awake as they were close to big top. We had requested quiet room. We went in September and it was pleanty warm enough and only one f of drizzle but still very warm.
  12. Hi I'm a childminder (recently registered) but years of experience working with children. I wasn't sure where to start when it came to terms and conditions and what to charge so I've stuck with what we were told on the training course. They recommend either ?5 per hour( =?50 per day for 10 hours 8-6) but you would charge for your holiday. Or they said charge ?6 per hour and don't charge for you holiday. So I do the latter. ?6 per hour but no charge for my holidays. This includes all food, drinks, snacks and entrance into soft play sessions etc. so if she is charging ?64 per day plus holiday then she is charging more than is recomended.
  13. If you are just about to potty train the best thing I found was just to take the plunge and get pants for them. When I tried pull ups it just confused my daughter as they felt like nappies. Then invest in a potette potty. They are fab. Fold up so fit in a large change bag or in basket of buggy and doubles as a travel toilet seat when having to use public toilets. Etc. they are fab and we still pop ours in bag when on long journeys even though my daughter is neary 6. The amount of times we have used it on train when toilets are out of order etc. been a lifesaver.
  14. You will get to board first with travelling with little one which is a bonus. Have bottle ready for take off and landing either milk or juice so that they are sucking to help with ears popping. If possible delay nap till you are in flight so that they sleep some if the journey. New toy not seen before. And when my daughter was little it was sticker book that kept us sane. Let her sticker all over new colourig book kept her busy for hours trying to pick off stickers.
  15. You can buy family mosi guard from large boots or when mine were that little we bought bands that you either slipped over ankle(so they can't put in mouth) or onto buggy/cot near them and that did the trick. They were from mothercare.
  16. Hi eos dance is fantastic. The classes run on a Saturday morning at the community centre on darrel road( just next door to Dulwich medical centre on crystal palace road) lessons are ?55/?66 per term depending on child's age. The teacher is lovely and my daughter loves going to classes. If you want the information pm me your name and email address and I will get Arianna to email all the information over to you as she is currently changing times depending on childrens ages.
  17. Hi I do no 12 at about 9.10 every tues morning from first stop on Barry road and its fine. Sometimes we have to wait as 2 buggies already waiting before me but generally works out fine and on first bus that comes along.
  18. if you want dulwich can highly rec the albrighton centre(near the big sainsburys) had my daughters last 2 parties there. Get bouncy castle in with cost. Only downside need to do your own food.
  19. Hi we were burgled on Saturday night around 7pm, wasn't a surprise as 3 of our neighbours had been done in the last few weeks, but still horrible to have house ransacked and know people had been in there. we are on Overhill road, the lordship lane end. They got in over the fence at the side of the house and smashed the kitchen window. Seems to be between 5-7pm every time and we had left lights on etc.
  20. Hi there has been 3 break ins in Overhill road last week, Entry from over fences to the back of the houses/flats, Jewellery, Cameras, Laptops and cash mainly taken and at around 5pm in evening, Please be careful locking up your homes.
  21. Snow is settling on overhill so please be carefull as you come up from lordship lane. Saw lots of cars sliding back down to lordship lane last time it snowed.
  22. Snow settling on lordship lane end of overhill road so carefull as you turn into road as imagine v slippy as on slope too.
  23. my father in law stayed here recently and said it was lovely http://www.lilacdoor.co.uk
  24. hi regarding copyright be careful, If you bought say a peppa pig bag then reused it on your banner to resell I think that is ok but If you were just to print off a pic of peppa and used it that wouldnt be as YOu havent bought official merchandise and therefor stealing the image. If it is a liscenced product reused/recycled then the liscence would have been used on that item-does that make sense? I do party decorations and anything that is an official character I buy online so I dont infringe on copyright then just use the prominent colour for anything that I make. If you do set up a page send me a pm as I may need your services one day if I continue with parties. websites are pretty easy to do too and dont cost much, Mine is www.dreamofatheme.co.uk if you want to take a look and if you need any advice send me a pm. good luck leanne
  25. hi I had the same, until you get your appointment try to not lift anything heavy. when you stand up do this slowly rather than springing up out of your chair. sleep with a pillow or cushion between your knees to keep them same space apart as your hips(or as much as possible) and when you get out of bed keep your knees together and swing legs out of bed then sit up. these pointers really helped me plus the added exercises I was given at appointment. it is horrible but it does go as soon as you give birth! I was given a crutch to use which really helped take the pressure off too. good luck,
