My 14 yr old son has been trying to return his X-box to microsoft to be replaced as it has 'the red ring of death' but he's having no luck getting it sorted online and the phone line is all automated. If anyone has had the same problem and can give him an idea of how to proceed that would be great! I've also gone through the procedure online and by phone and haven't been able to get through.

thanks in advance for any help!

Hi

Sorry to hear about your sons xbox i know exactly how frustrated you must be we had the same problem a couple of months ago. We found this site very helpful they helped us sort everything out and replaced the console.

http://www.xbox.com/en-IE/support/

Once your registered on the site you fill in the repair information and you get 2 forms to print off (ones your receipt). Fill in the forms box up the console only (without the hard drive) telephone the number on the form to arrange a pick up they normally send UPS within a day or so and it hopefully wont take longer then about 2 weeks.

Dont worry if you haven't got the original box either, just pack it in a suitable box. Later you can even check the status of your repair online.

Hope that helps GOOD LUCK

    • Hello.   Thanks Nigel and Hparker 😀   I've got new slots available for new students looking for a piano teacher or guitar teacher.   You could start in the new term beginning September, or I'm also available adhoc-styles through the summer holidays at times.   I teach all ages, in most styles, in lots of different ways according to how you learn/like to learn.   Give me a call or text on 07730 402336.   I have connections to lots of performance opportunities/networks too.   I run regular events /student concerts, and play in bands/perform.   Natalie.
    • So do I, but I think they are in trouble as well.  Anyway, that space wouldn't be big enough.
    • I'm not talking about Starmer. I was responding to a post which  said that  Corbyn was unelectable. How people voted in the "more hotly contested election" is irrelevant. Corbyn wasn't leading the Labour Party then. Starmer was. And the turnout for Labour reflects that.
