We?ll be going sporting mad over the weekend of July 9th / 10th at the NINES.

Come join us for both the Wimbledon and Eurocup finals on our big screen. Full drinks and food menu as per usual along with strawberry ice cream and ?5 strawberry daiquiris!

And if watching the tennis makes you feel sporty then sign up for our first ever Copeland Park Pingpong championships. Prizes for the winners and those in the best tennis get-up !

4pm Copeland Pingpong Championship (?2 entry)

2pm Wimbledon Mens Final

  Ah, thanks, it all comes flooding back. I've actually been to the Hastings shop, I'd forgotten all about it, along with her name! Didn't she (in between?) take over what was then The Magnolia, previously The Magdala, now The Lordship, with her then partner? Or is that some figment of my imagination? In fact, didn't they transform it from The Magdala (much missed) to The Magnolia? With flowery wallpaper covering the front of the bar? Which reminds me of the pub's brief period after The Magnolia as the ill-conceived and ill-fated The Patch.

  A belated recommendation for Iain and Paul od Oddbods who came to help me with various jobs before Christmas. Painting ceiling, renewing silicone around bath, repairing a window sill which was almost beyond repair and hanging a large mirror. Very happy with their work and they are friendly and very reliable and excellent at communicating. No hesitation in recommending them.
