Looking for part-time nanny from mid-Sept

Recommended Posts

Hi there -

We are a professional couple in East Dulwich looking for a caring, responsible and experienced nanny to care for our baby. Ideally bi-lingual, our nanny would come with references and be fully certified (First Aid, police check DBS/PVG checks, and preferably OFSTED or other childcare certified), non-smoker.

Looking for a nanny to start from mid-September 2016. Initially will be part-time with newborn (2 months old) visiting 2 days a week for 6hrs/day, increasing to 3 days a week from November (6hrs/day), and increasing again in March 2017 to ideally a full day 3 days per week (7.30am - 6.30pm).

Schedule and timings are negotiable; very attractive salary and full access to the home, treated as one of the family while there.

    • Typically the way 'family run businesses' operate is either to have family members continue the business, or to sell on, either as a site (in this instance) or as a going concern. Either which way this is the way the owners create a 'pension' from the business. The number of suggestions as to alternatives makes me feel that the market for small repairing garages locally may be well served, so selling on the site makes the best financial sense for the owners. It's a sign not of the times but of normal business realities.
    • I agree it's a shame, but it is not a "sign of the times", unless you think that up to now people have never grown older and retired!
