From Marco, SE5

Hi, I used Aria two weekends ago when I had a blockage in my pipework which caused terrible flooding in my own flat and the flat downstairs!

Aria was amazing. He came immediately despite it being a Sunday and solved my problem beautifully. I have used Aria many times before and he has always been the same. I couldn't recommend him more! So courteous and nice too!

Aria and this team replaced 2 showers in my house. He helped me too source all of the correct parts, and then carried out a challenging job of removing the old showers, replacing with new and then retiling the areas. His communications and expertise were brilliant throughout and he charged a very fair fee for carrying out the works. Hes just a very nice, friendly and patient guy to deal with. I would recommend him to anyone needing work done. Thank you again

Aria was great, he managed to come the same day after what had turned out to be a pretty long day at work and fix a really bad blocked pipe that needed to be resolved as soon as practicable. He’s lovely, professional and really helpful. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable plumber in the area. Thanks Aria!

We've used Aria a couple of times - this time a tap that was causing water hammer elsewhere in the house, he replaced it and checked all was well. He was prompt, quick in his work, and charged what he said he would. Will use him again.

I want to add to what everyone is saying. I highly recommend Aria and AFE Plumbing.

We had a sudden leak from the wash hand basin. My home insurance covered plumbing repairs but they wouldn’t be able to see me until a day later. Aria had already been recommended by another local plumber to me. He was incredibly swift in responding and was with me in minutes. He not only helped save the situation, he showed me what to look out for, how to avoid, and what aspects of the repair were the most important.

He’s a great teacher and a very nice guy.

I’ve had the pleasure of Aria’s services for a number of plumbing issues over the past 5 years - two electric showers fitted, replacing leaky / damaged stopcocks in bathrooms and kitchens. He is efficient, knowledgeable, accommodating and polite. He is THE go to guy for plumbing akin the area.

I totally recommend Aria and AFE plumbing. He managed the renovation of a bathroom and refurbishment of a kitchen. He also helped with other smaller jobs around the flat. He was conscientious, communicated every step of the way, was helpful and did a great job. His team are nice people - which always makes a difference - and really  detailed in their work. They worked hard and the result was great. Aria is on 07739 734895.

Aria has been our plumber now for two years or so and we feel lucky to have him. He recently solved a small leak we had, fitted a brand new filter system to replace the broken one and responded quickly. His prices are very reasonable and he also has a small team of professionals to call if we need a handyman, tiler, or crasftsperson to ensure everything is put back exactly the way it was. Highly recommended!

I  stupidly managed to pull  a pipe off my back house wall whilst trying to remove roses which had grown behind the pipe (ironically, so that they wouldn't grow too big and force the pipe off the wall 😭)

The pipe snapped off at one end and wasn't particularly easy to replace, as it had been connected to my bathroom basin.

Aria came out at short notice to see what needed doing, came back today with all the necessary parts, sorted it all out and charged a very reasonable price.

Happy to recommend him (again!)

Have just used Aria for the third time in 3 years, this time to fit a new mixer tap. Efficient, punctual, clean, tidy and great value for money. Never any issues with the work after he leaves. See you in 2026 Aria

    • An excellent point, ed. I reckon you could possibly get the cheese down to 75g per person depending on how many courses, the cheese media one is using and the accompiaments. A thicker biscuit can really increase the power of your cheese dollar. I'd also recommend putting all the last year's chutneys and pickles from the back of the cupboard in a single Kilner jar, adding a bit of malt vinegar and a grated apple, then attaching a hand written label saying 'Pikey's Pickle: Autumn 2025'.  It's not Megan Markle levels of domestic deceit, but it works every time. Pre-portioning cheese seems arbitrary, but I think acceptable when it's 20 people. It gives people an idea of how much a serving is, and negates the issue of somebody, normally a brother in law or cousin's new boyfriend, not taking their share of the rind. Remember, you're doing them a favour. Somewhere in the room there's an older family member who could see it and never forget. It's disinheritance stuff. It also gives rise to the great postprandial game of 'Cheese!' where guests can swap their share of cheese for another. Tastier than Monopoly and far less cardboardy, cheeses can be traded like currency or commodities. Hard and soft cheeses, dependent on their relative strengths, normally settle at close to parity but I've seen blue cheeses trade at less than half the price.  It's a Stilton lover's paradise, if you can hold your nerve.  Goat cheese lovers can clean up, but need to beware. As volatile as the 1970's Argentinian Peso, it's up and down like a bride's nightie.   I think I'll stick to Neal's Yard, then.
