Exhibition of fine art, sculpture,photography + textiles at Safehouse 1+2 7th - 10th July

This friday 8th to Sunday 10th July, an exhibition at Safehouse 1+2 :-

'E:Merge' is the inaugural off site exhibition of Ceramics, Jewellery, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture and Textiles from City Lit visual arts dept. Over four days, selected students? work will be on display from the following courses:-

Contemporary painting studio, Jewellery ,Sculpture, Ceramics and Advanced Textiles

In addition, City lit?s two Printmakers in Residence and the 20 shortlisted entries for the annual Photography Competition will be showing work.

Selected work is for sale and some students will be present throughout the show. There will also be a Private View on Thursday 7th July 6:30 ? 8:30 ? please send me a PM if you would like an invite for the private view, otherwise you?re welcome to visit any time on Friday 8th July from 11am ? 9pm, Saturday 9th 11am ? 6pm and Sunday 10th 11am ? 3pm.     • Back to my earlier post about familiarity.  I was in Croydon this afternoon walking between the two main stations.  Didn't feel unsafe, but there were some 'interesting' characters on the street.  Not that any were bothered with me. Not a place I'd choose to go for a bit of a fun.  Although having said that West Croydon has some cracking restaurants and the wonderfully named Saints and Sinners bar, where I once went on a corporate do - not that I did many of these. Whoops just checked and it closed a few months ago. Back on track, I never went to the Castle as I felt it was a bit rough.  How wrong was I?  Only real pub left in the area.
    • Wow Sue! I was reading your post with interest as I’ve never really felt unsafe in London and I was born here. It was just your last paragraph that derailed me and totally changed the subject matter! So unnecessary.
    • What made you think it was lost?
    • I'm pretty sure I saw him today near the junction of Lordship Lane and Dulwich common standing by the crossing near the entrance to the woods. Wearing a black trench coat , black trousers and dark timberland style boots his clothes looked somewhat worn and he was looking pretty wild eyed..I was in a car going by and I noticed him standing by the kerb looking somewhat aggrivated. other women please be aware
