No, they are horrid. Don't.

Splash the cash and get hardwood, properly sealed, preferably finished with a white stain that it pressure blasted into the wood to give a good decade or more without refinishing.

You'll be a convert and be forever grateful.

My mother lives in a conservative house you can only have like for like you would have to apply to council but they will not allow it you might be able to on back
