Was hoping for a cameo appearance of Sam & Annie in the pub at the end though.

Apparently the writers thought long and hard about having Sam being the one welcoming them all the pub a the end, but finally decided it would have upstaged Alex/Keeley Hawes too much. (I see their point, but cannot imagine anyone upstaging Keeley Hawes B))
