I've just been listening to radio four interviewing a spokesman about the rail cuts

They said that the 'Thameslink upgrade' has been scrapped

Does anyone know more about this?

Is that linked to what's going on at London Bridge?

Apprently anything that 'doesn't have a signature' will be scrapped. Does the East London Line extension have a signature yet?

Would the South London Line be kept if the last two are scrapped?

Would this mean we could we keep our direct to london trains? :)

According to the program there's a report being released in a few days

possibly enough platforms for South London Line if the followoing happens?

Meanwhile, it is understood that Network Rail is examining the implications of dropping plans for the ?3bn remodelling of London Bridge station, the next phase of the ?5.5bn Thameslink programme. This is in addition to ?100m of cuts that Network Rail was asked to make this week.

Admin - just slightly confused as to why this thread got lounged when it discusses the implications to:

The South London Line

The London Bridge upgrade

and

The East London Line

All three directly effect East Dulwich residents 'transport'

Anyway - i've added my post to the end of another link in 'general' which is discussing the same thing but is out of date... shame as this could really impact a lot of residents if the cuts somehow change the dynamic of the three

Edit to say that a post on the tube in honor oak is more relevant? even more confused

Generous with his knowledge, thoughtful, full of patience and easily contactable.  Continue to recommend him to any local friends in need of some help, questions with their plumbing. Thanks Niko !! • One problem is that companies like the Big A, say arriving "Sunday" so you plan your week and without warming, normally when you are out, a few days before you get a notification saying "out for deluvery"  You can't plan for that and often get home to find the package abandoned on your door or left elsewhere with no clue where.  Maybe it is a sign that we should all return to shopping locally 😆
    • Hi all,    Also recommending Rob! He came to do some checks and discuss a gas fireplace installation - and gave some very good advice and charged a reasonable price.
