Flat found! Thank you.

People of EDF, I am hoping you can help me.

I am looking for a two bedroom flat with a garden for myself and my 11 year old daughter. She is about to start at the Harris Girls' Academy on Peckham Rye and our current home is just that little bit too far for my comfort when it comes to making the school journey each morning and evening alone. We are looking around Peckham Rye, and East Dulwich.

My budget will stretch to ?1750 per month, we need to move by the end of August and don't want to have to move again for a good few years.

I am employed full time as a Head of HR, and she obviously is studying full time for the next 7 years. We don't have any pets, and we are clean, tidy, active, sociable, generally excellent tenants!

If you have a little gem of a home (with a garden or outside space) please let me know, or feel free to point me in the direction of someone who does.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Zoe

    • I imagine Franco Manca's business dropped off quite a bit when Yard Sale opened (though isn't Yard Sale delivery only?) But in any case, both of those are chains.
    • Thanks. I'll call them shortly as I could get there without the car.  That's good of Sainsburys! We've done the apple pie and tart thing, an ongoing muesli thing and the coleslaw thing - just not sure what effect all the sugars are having on our digestive tracts.
    • One time Sainsbury's delivered 6 bags of apples instead of 6 single apples which I couldn't possibly get through. I phoned Pecan in Peckham to ask if they would accept them despite their website stating no fresh foods. I must have phoned at just the right time as they were happy to accept them. Sainsburys gave me a refund so the donation was courtesy of them. Or you could experiment with all kinds of apple recipes and write a blog about it
    • There's a food bank off Dog Kennel Hill. Albrighton Community Fridge. https://www.albrightoncommunityfridge.org/ I'm sure they would welcome them, but maybe check first, as they don't actually mention fresh fruit on their website? But apples aren't that perishable. Drop off seven days a week 9 - 5. Be warned if you are going by car, parking can be very difficult, easiest if there are two of you so one person can take the food in while the other can move the car if necessary.
