mockney piers
I'm an indy boy for the most part. Telegraph is the most accessible of the cryptics though. Can you explain how you arrived at that answer please? Even knowing the clue, and the answer I still can't form the link! SeanMacGabhann
Guardianista - but have to agree with Mockney - The Telegraph was my introduction to cryptics and remains the most accessible. I would never BUY the thing but used to download the crossword page Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1155-one-clue-left-in-saturdays-guardian/#findComment-30222 Share on other sites

mockney piers
Fair enough, although the charm of them is that you can leave them lying around all day and just glance over every now and then and occasionally you get a clunking penny drop moment, which is incredibly satisfying. You'd be surprised just how much pleasure it can give when the mists part for one moment and you go "doh! how did i not get that?" mightyroar
andrewD are you a saturday guardian regular then? I only have time for one crossword a week and that's the one for me.But pasquale last week was no good. i just couldnt do it.St John's - is that the one by Goose Green opposite the school? that is fab local info. we should have a plaqueMockney I used to love the indy but that saturday guardian made me turn. indy has the picture quiz too which i did used to love as well though. And in the telegraph they dont give the setters name do they? kind of takes away the charm for me.
