Wish!

In my pre-children days I loved taking myself off for a sight seeing day in the City. Galleries, Southbank, Markets. Just don't do too many if you choose this - you get knackered and punch drunk really quickly.

If bad weather going to the cinema by yourself loaded up with v. bad food seems so decadent (no-one can see you stuffing your face in the dark!)

I totally get being bored to death. I don't have kids at home any longer but hate the routine. So, allow me to suggest: Take one of this big city bus tours. It's totally expensive, but it's fun seeing london as a tourist.

ahhhhhhhhhhh when we were young we could just spend hours on make up and cocktails.

good luck, I HAVE to go to Germany which really depresses me...not THE friendliest country on earth, is it?

OK this weekend I shall be going to the Choumert Square open day fete thing the Horniman fete thing and the Regent Street Spain theme day - the whole of Regent Street is closed and there are stalls and ferris wheels and all sorts of fun.

All those three things all happen Sunday.

Tomorrow, I shall be wearing ... very little, and sunbathing!

Hope you find something to do, we live in LONDON ferchrissakes, how can one ever be bored here?!!

    • Definitely that’s part of it  but a) loads of historically popular leaders were chrisms vacuums and b) people can now see where voting for “charismatic” people like Johnson and Trump gets them
    • When will something be done about safe access to platforms? The overcrowding on the stairs at rush hour is ridiculous with multi trains arriving simultaneously and an inadequate staircase. Yesterday at around 5.30pm there was only room for people to descend, congestion at the bottom from three available exit barriers and a lady fell down the concrete stairs.
    • The Standard are reporting the rental home as being in East Dulwich. I hadn't realised she was that local.   "Rachel Reeves apologises for London rental rules breach as Tories demand her sacking | The Standard" https://www.standard.co.uk/news/politics/rachel-reeves-rental-rules-break-east-dulwich-family-home-southwark-council-b1255584.html
    • Thanks ianr. So no mention of either Tesco  or October? So we are no further forward with knowing when the Tesco will actually open? The place seems to have been empty for ages. I would have thought Tesco might have wanted to be up and running in time for Christmas, but maybe that isn't relevant to a relatively small Tesco Express? ETA: The wonders of the space bar, eh? It took me more  time than it should have done to see the difference between the two addresses in your previous post!
