Hello,

As part of Foyles' children and young adult book festival, we will be running two radio drama workshops in the auditorium of the Foyles flagship store on Charing Cross Road. In groups, we challenge children to script their own radio play, then it's time to hop into the recording studio to perform their plays live on air. We also encourage the children to create their own sound effects using everyday objects - things like celery, rulers, rice, staplers etc to bring their stories to life!

On Friday 5th August, there will be a morning workshop at 11am-1pm:

Or an afternoon session from 2pm-4pm:

Tickets cost ?12 and can be bought on Foyles website above.

We are based in East Dulwich and run radio birthday parties for children (and adults), local radio drama & podcasting workshops for all ages.

We are also producing a podcast for the Foyles Storybox Festival featuring lots of lovely children we have worked with in ED:

We look forward to seeing and hearing you there!

    • +1 for Oddbods They ran 4 jobs around the house and are just really good guys. I am now looking around the house to see what else we can ask them to do...
    • You could also hire a circular saw from the Library of Things inside the Dulwich Leisure Centre?
    • I was bitten by a smallish dog (black terrier type), in lead, yesterday afternoon (Monday 2 March, approx 1.15pm) at the corner of Heber Road and Cyrena Road.  Nothing too serious, but I have a small wound on my calf and a hole in my jeans. The owner (a middle aged woman) couldn't control her dog, pretended it didn't happen and did a runner.  I managed to take a picture of her as she walked away.  Not a great picture but if you recognise her could you please DM some info so I can report the incident?  If only to ensure that she is spoken to, as this is obviously a dangerous dog and is not under control... Many thanks.
    • I've got no wish to discuss this  again. I've already given my views on a previous  thread in the lounge. I take it you won't be voting Green, but I'm wondering quite where you are coming from with all these attacks on them? Where do your political sympathies lie?  This thread was supposed to be about James McAsh's move away from Labour 🙄 Anyway, it is hopefully another nice day and I'm off to do some gardening.
