heidinut
Saw this big terrapin in Dulwich Park and handed into the office. Hopefully it's been lost and not dumped! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/117497-found-big-terrapin/ Share on other sites

Pickle
The lakes in both Dulwich and Peckham Rye parks are full of Terrapins, it might be one of the "locals" Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/117497-found-big-terrapin/#findComment-1031545 Share on other sites
Passiflora
It's a Red eared slider, saw one in another Southwark park a couple of years ago. Googled it then and it's an American species probably being kept as pets and then released into the wild. Mystic Mog
Did they say what they are going to do with it? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/117497-found-big-terrapin/#findComment-1031623 Share on other sites
heidinut
I didn't want to leave it there as they are very bad for the local ecology. The park warden said he would take it to the vet where hopefully it can be rehomed if not claimed.
