Hi

Yesterday a lady approached me to ask if I had seen her buggy. Three wheels I think. She left it at the junction of Lordship Lane and Matham Grove on Thursday by accident. Unfortunately there is a pile of rubbish at this point, beds, matresses etc. all dumped by the Pistachio Club restaurant. It looked as though the pushchair was also dumped.

On Friday morning, about 10.30 I saw a man load the pushchair into his boot. I'm sure he also thought it was dumped.

Anyway................The lady who has lost the pushchair would like to have it back and I have her phone number if we are talking about the same pushchair.

What's so sad Mike?

A lady leaves her (probably expensive) pushchair on the side of the road by mistake and drives home. A day later she discovers her error.

A passer-by takes the push chair thinking it has been dumped. She checks on the forum just to be sure.

Between us we manage to get the pushchair back to the rightful owner.

Now I make this a very HAPPY HAPPY story.

How come you don't? Please explain!

    • I thought the most they sell in terms of hot food at londis is like pastries and sausage rolls and for hot drinks its like costa coffee but its always a convenience store. Doesn’t look too bad in my opinion considering that shop has been closed down ever since i moved here
    • Hi Busterb, Yesterday I turned up with a scanner & towels, hoping to take a deceased tabby down to TNV. The body was moved moments before arrival & had not been turned in to any vets, rescues or animal hospitals. I am wondering if this could have been the same cat & if someone just tried to move the tabby further away from the road. Please be warned, viewers discretion is advised. but this is what the deceased tabby looked like: https://www.facebook.com/groups/900015513463302/permalink/3729980853800073/  In any case, if you haven't been able to get someone to scan or take down to a vet, I can scan tomorrow morning.
    • Wholeheartedly recommend Aria. He was polite, responsive and sorted our leak, from an old tap on an old plumbing system, with no bother and on same day.
