womanofdulwich
I was thinking of upgrading to a new sony hd ready flat screen tv as i do not want more cables and wires. I wondered if anyone had got one- either with an internal wireless modem or with a dongle type thing? is it consistant service? Thanks Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/11765-has-anyone-got-one-of-the-sony-tvs-that-work-from-wireless-internet/ Share on other sites
zephyr
Can you get TVs with modems in? You can get TVs with freeview boxes intergrated but never heard of one with a modem.Ant particular reason for getting a Sony over any other make? ruffers
I might be wrong but I think womanofdulwich is referring to a Sony system where the tuner etc is separate from the display panel and connects to it wirelessly http://www.sony.co.uk/article/id/1222694816396 . PeckhamRose
On BT Vision you can connect to the BT Hub via a cable or via special wire free plugs that talk to each other.Works well, either way. We watch some TV shows or films via that method, or listen to radio through it.Hope this helps. womanofdulwich
http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/sony-kdl40ex503-kdl40ex503u-20100603700.htmThis is the sort of thing as I can't bare the thought of having cables for a dish or wires up the drive and through walls, I thought if the signal was consistant it would be a good way of getting the freeviews channels.
