  1. The decider for champions likely to be our game against reading. Whilst if would be nice to get our hands on that nice trophy, promotion has to come first and think about that after
  2. Not sure what result I would want between west ham and reading. A win for either would strengthen our promotion target but a draw would strengthen our winners target.
  3. without stating the obvious, you need to do more than draw. Starting to look like we may be getting there. There are some tough games ahead though for all the top 3 but fingers crossed we will stay top.

We had a bit of a dip which coincided with injuries but hopefully we are back to playing how we should be. Very crucial and lucky win at Leeds the other day. Doesn't matter how you play, you have to score to have a chance of winning... which we did. My mistake as well earlier 14 points from 18
  5. Annoyed that West Ham equalised.... sorry. Fortunately we have a good lead in goal difference (at the moment) which is worth a point. Not sure we are on the wane... last night was the first goal we have conceded since we played west ham last month and got 16 out of the last 18 available points
  6. It is a sad state of affairs. Rivalry aside, I wouldn't want to see any club go out of business. When Saints were in administration it was dire and we were 2 days away from liquidation following an unsuccessful bid and people pissing around. No one saw our saviour Marcus Liebherr coming. He had to pay a significant amount of money as there was a 24 million pound debt on the stadium. So.... it is possible to get out off this and I think it is a good decision by the administrator that he will find a buyer rather than Channrai finding one. That said.... down you go......
  7. Credit where credit is due... un...flippin' believable. Have to admit that West Ham look like they are playing like champions
  8. Probably unlucky to concede only the one considering we were in double figures for the on target chances. The sending off meant that the hammers 'parked the bus' which was fair enough actually. The run in is going to be very exciting if a little nerve racking

For dicounted rates and for longer travel cards you have to have a photo id oystercard. Normal oyster cards don't need to be registered but if you use it a lot it is very helpful to register online and set up auto top-up
  10. I wish I had gone to the Saints/Hammers game after all as it sounded like a cracker So Big Sam.... you are appealing the red card as it was a push in the chest? I think not...

I think the point is that you used another persons card to gain a discount. You only have the right to the discount if you have your own card and present it for use to get that discount. You do not have an automatic right to the discount without a valid card even if you are a student. Technically it is fraud but TFL would not take it to court due to costs etc. However failure to pay the fine would leave you with a potential court case. Would an appeal work... if I was looking at it, it would be a fundimental no (even though I know my boys have done the same) It is almost the same as those who deliberately do not touch in and out at stations that don't have barriers. I have seen many people being slapped with a fine at Elephant and Castle for not touching in at Nunhead.
  12. Buy at tin of 'Air Duster' fro PCWorld, Currys, Rymans or other PC shops or stationers. You must keep the spray upright when spraying and it is flammable If a laptop - shut it down and remove the battery. Spray in all the vents and holes that you can see, particualrly the vent at the side or underneath that is over the CPU fan. If a PC, turn off at the wall take the side panel off and spray all the dust away from any vents and fans. So long as the PC is earthed, you can vacuum the outside of the case particularly the exhaust vents at the back of the power supply but don't vacuum inside - use the duster. Dust will go everywhere. It is always worth doing that first. If there is still an overheating problem then there might be a more fundimental issue. The fan on the processor is worth replacing and is fairly easy to do yourself. Beyond that its worth getting someone in who knows what they are doing. You will have to pay. ?40 for a couple of hours work is probably fair but some things can be done yourself
  13. And I was all ready with my quip asking how the view was whilst you were there.... nevermind Our squad is becoming depleted with yet another injury to a key player. We don't quite have the squad yet to cover the number of important players that we have injured or suspended (Lambert, Lallana, Chaplow, Fonte, Jaidi, Seaborne and now possibly Hoosvelt). We are having a real problem with our back line. I am hoping that our Japanese signing(Tadanari Lee) will be good when he arrives next week.
  14. Chopped mine up last night. the bigger branches when in the brown bin but the trunk will be kept and burnt If you want a real tree to last longer my tip is to cut the bottom inch or two off as soon as you get home and stand the tree still wrapped in a bucket of water for at least 24 hours in order that it can rehydrate. When ready stand in a tree stand that preferrably holds water and keep topped up. Due to our cats deciding that it was fun to jump on the tree (thus it falling over) I emptied our base out the day after boxing day. When i cut it up yesterday it was still in excellent condition almost certainly because I left it in water (for 48 hours). In fact it wouldn't burn as it wasn't nearly dry enough.
  15. No we are not as problematic logistically. The 'bubble' does seem a bit extreme and will cost an absolute fortune
  16. Whereas I am looking forward to it. That said, our away form is rubbish.
  17. basmati is the easiest to cook. Measure out what you need add cold water and soak for about an hour. Then rinse well but carefully til the water runs clear (gets rid of alot of the starch), drain and add to boiling salted water. Watch carefully and within 10 minutes the rice will be cooked - it will almost appear to suddenly take over the pan. Drain and rince immediately with cold water to stop the cooking. You should then have perfectly fluffy basmati rice. Remember... once soaked it cooks really quickly.
  18. So relieved after today's game that we remain ahead in the league. Watch for the classic goalkeeping error on The Football League show tonight in the Saints Blackpool game. Reminded me of Le Tissier against Taibi a few years ago
  19. Southwark Caribb FC a local youth football club also use the park for training and games. They are based at the Adventure Playground and play in the Tandridge league
  20. Well we are certainly playing very well but it is early in the season. If we continue as we are now then I think we will be
  21. Another excellent performance by the Saints... I do hope we leep it up. Featured match tonight
  22. Well after watching the route one football on Tuesday to that lump Carew, you need a striker. It was a very good game but West Ham were not very good.
  23. On android - Buscount - London Bus Live
  24. That is Bredinghurst school which is being rebuilt on the same site - well half of it anyway. Bredinghurst is a school for children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties. It used to have 50 pupils and the new scholl with have 70. Not sure there is much room left for another school
  25. ummm that used to be the old church hall and is now residential properties. There used to be a building on the corner of Inverton and Ivydale but that was demolished years ago and is now residential properties. I cannot think of any old school properties off Inverton other than Ivydale school and Bredinghurst school (which is being rebuilt)
