Isn't the point of the Kindle that it is exclusively for Amazon books being that it is an 'Amazon Kindle'. That said the wikipedia article mentions a free converter for an international standard (EPUB)

1st time in the Club's history that weve won the opening 4 fixtures in a season. Club Record 10 consecutive League wins Club Record 11 consecutive wins Club Record equalling 11 consecutive Home wins Club Record 5 consecutive away wins Nigel Adkins reaches 100 points in the fastest time for a Saints Manager Obviously this straddles the end of last season and this one Compare this to our last season in the Championship where we only managed 4 home wins and 6 away wins throughout the whole Season

I am 45 and I had my first tattoo only a year ago. I am looking to get another one - just need to be sure of what I want. The nearest palour that I know to East Dulwich is on Evelina Road in Nunhead (Fantasy Tattoo - where I had mine done). It may be worth the OP swinging by there a few times - they are open odd hours but have been there since 1990. I don't know how much trade they get.

I remember there being quite a discussion on here a couple of years ago when Thames water started digging that huge pipe from Honor Oak Reservoir. There were quite a lot of links about the make up of the ground in the area as people were worried that their homes were going to sink. Cannot seem to find it now

Anyone have season tickets on here. We have two at Southampton but they are putting their prices up for the coming season. I wondered how they compare with other teams in the Championship http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/javaImages/f3/30/0,,10280~9711859,00.jpg

Disappointed that Bournemouth haven't made it through the playoffs. Had they gone up as well we would have had 12 south cost derbys in the Championship next season with the Saints, pompey, the seagulls and the cherries

I don't think a previous premier league manager would take it. More likely a good ambitious football league manager. Just so long as they don't go for Nigel Adkins....

I would second the Two sisters in Nunhead (Gibbon Road). I like a jalfrezi but I wanted something different so they did it Naga style (from their Sylheti Naga) which made it fantastic. It is spicy mind 2 Sisters Tandoori

two years ago my nipples were fine ..... until I went through a shower. My tip (for blokes) is not to get the front of your vest wet

I had a place for this years marathon - my aim was to drastically improve on the times of the 3 I have done before (believe me they are not difficult to improve) I am very jealous of those running this year and wish them all good luck as I have put my place off - hopefully I wil be able to do it next year instead

Do you have a lock for it? Put a front disc lock on AND a decent lock and chain through the back wheel. This way it may still get nicked but it would need someone to actually lift it up and put it in a van or a low loader. DON'T use a cable lock as they are too easy to cut through

Excellent. Watched with my girls from Canobie Road

Thanks Clare this is our eldest daughter so she has already started sorting out her own meals sometimes. Next step is to sort out everyone elses at the same time. The boys do it occasionally but it is always meat based. Have tried nut roasts for when everyone else is gorging on meat but I will point her to SMBS with her friends - I haven't been there for years. Used to go there all the time before we moved to Nunhead.

Thanks for the suggestions. Bookwise, have gone for the Essential Vegetarian Cookbook. The other suggestions are helpful

Daughter became a vegetarian a few months ago and from the new year will stop eating fish as well. Any good simple vegetarian cookbooks out there?

When Lucas North first appeared. Simon is correct - they said it was Highgate. They filmed it at the junction in the paths near the John Allen tomb. They damaged the Limesford Road gates getting one of their vehicles in and out.

The car park in Peckham Rye is often used as a base when they are filming in the area e.g. filmng an episode of Spooks in Nunhead cemertary and other instances

I regularly go to Southampton and have done for years and use a variety of routes there and back depending on traffic conditions. Outside of busy hours, the vauxhall bridge to A4/M4 then M25 to M3 is the quickest (quicker coming back) Other times I head to Tooting, Wimbledon to the A3 then either 1. onto the M25 then the M3 or 2. to the A31 all the way to the M3 The above depends on the state of the M25 when I get there Sort of depends where along the M3 you want to get to.

Had the HTC Desire since May and very please with it. Does everything I want it to do - phone calls, internet, Ocado, games, main music player (16GB card), sat nav. Both my brothers have them - one of them much to the displeasure of his university lecturer colleagues Would definitely recommend it or one of its buddies

Without reading the whole thread, I note that doctors and nurses have been brought into the discussion. Doctors no longer work the hours they used to. Since 2009 they have been limited by law to 48 hours per week (European Working Time Directive). They work shift patterns similar to other health service workers (increasingly 12 hour shifts) such as nurses and midwives - on call rooms are no longer available. Nurses and midwives do a 37.5 hour week. In my area, midwives have done 12 hours shifts for about 12 years and most prefer it (nights are 20:00 to 08:00). Anyone doing night shifts in the NHS are expected are expected to sleep between the shifts and there is no facility to sleep during shifts. On their days off nurses and midwives can do what they like and a fair few will do extra shifts (bank and agency but NOT overtime as it is not generally allowed in the NHS). I do not understand why there is such a problem with changing the shift patterns for firefighters FWIW I don't approve of striking for whatever reason in whatever job - it just does more damage (financial/credibility etc) than good

I am in again this year after running (well a bit anyway) in 2009. Need to lose a bit of weight think.....
