Redecoration means a new look bedroom so sadly I'm parting with this lovely (Edwardian?) wardrobe.

Solid mahogany front, sides and drawer fronts, this three-door wardrobe is of the highest quality and originally it would have been lined. With brass handles and hinges, there are two mirrored doors and a central door with an ornate carved panel.

The single section has brass shoe rails and hanger. The double unit has three brass-handled drawers and three pull-out shelves on the left and a full length wardrobe on the right with shelf above.

It comes apart in four sections for transport.

Overall sizes:

Maximum length 183 cm at the top

Bottom plinth length 177 cm

Total height approx 200 cm

Depth of top and plinth 57 cm

Single section width 57cm x depth 53 cm x height 182 cm

Double section width 115 cm x depth 53 cm x height 182 cm

In very good condition for its age but signs of some knocks on the back edges where it has been moved over the years that do not detract from its impressive appearance.

Looking for ?250 ono. Happy to consider offers for a quick sale.

You will need a man with a van.

    • Hello! We are relocating abroad and so will be withdrawing our two children (ages 4 and 6) from St Dunstan’s College (Catford). If any family is considering enrolling children of a similar age, now would be an excellent opportunity—we’re required to pay full‑term fees unless the places are taken. Please get in touch if you’re interested or know someone who might be. Thank you!

    • Thanks for your reply. I’ve subscribed to Ancestry a few times in the past but felt I wasn’t using it enough to warrant keeping up the subscription.
    • Hi, I saw your post and just wanted to say that the incident you’re referring to did happen in the late 1980s at Dawson’s Heights. The person involved was named Carl Salawa, and he had just turned 18 years old at the time. Like you, I haven’t been able to find any news articles or official reports about it, If anyone remembers anything more about that time or incident, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for sharing what you were told—it means a lot to know others remember.
