  1. Let?s just say I now understand why you might have taken exception to my asking you to take a grip, my onanistic friend with the wet socks. Or am I now being offensive?
  2. Unbelievable. KK asked a reasonable question and the CORRECT answer is Boris?s slur was used by at least one of the protestors (among other insults) but the slur did not cause these protestors to get out of bed on Monday morning and decide to head to Westminster and wait around in the hope that Starmer might appear so they could call him paedo and shout Savile at him. The protestors had better things to do involving all manner of conspiracy theories and it just so happened Starmer came along. It was opportunism. In short, to say a categorical yes that Boris was responsible for, or caused, Starmer to be harassed is WRONG and deluded.
  3. Okay, let me try and put it in the simplest terms I can for you. Do you think Johnson was responsible for, or caused, Starmer to be harassed by a group of people the other night?
  4. So you agree with me. Johnson was not responsible for Starmer being harassed even though every media outlet jumped on the Boris bashing bandwagon. Thanks, glad we got that straight.
  5. I?m not aware anyone is disputing that Boris implying Starmer was to blame for not prosecuting Savile was wrong. The dispute arose about whether Boris was responsible, or caused, Starmer to be harassed. Which of course was nonsense no matter how many media outlets tried to push that view.
  6. So the cabal is now judge and jury as to what is right and wrong. You couldn?t make it up. Translation - anyone who doesn?t agree with us is wrong and offensive. Dear oh dear.
  7. Thank you for your contribution j.a. It is possible my debating style needs a bit of work but I?m not sure what you mean by ?one of the nastiest posters on here? It strikes me what irks people is that I don?t sheep-like agree with them and it surprises them and annoys them. So for example, just because every newspaper, TV station, radio and most social media yesterday decided Boris was responsible for Starmer being harassed, and I disagreed, people get upset. DR is one of those people who gets upset - the masks slips and swear words and filth spew forth from his mouth in personal attacks. I?m intrigued j.a. That despite quoting such bile you make no comment whether it is acceptable on a public forum. Do you not consider any of that ?nasty??

Charming. Weren?t you well brought up. And you have the audacity to criticise people calling Starmer names? Idiot
  9. Why are you trying to drag poor old Jo Cox into this DR? Do you think a little emotional twang helps you? Open your eyes you fool and see how this incident is being used as another stick with which to beat Boris. People like you are like puppets on a string, dancing to others? tunes.
  10. Don?t understand Are you saying the protesters were racist nutters?

It was effing appalling. Small group of people call Starmer names shock What?s wrong with people? Being called names goes with the territory of being a politician. On the videos I?ve seen there are more aides, security guards and police around Starmer than people in the ?mob?. Makes me wonder whether the whole thing was staged
  12. ?after protesters mob Keir Starmer? There?s only about five people there. I?ve seen uglier scenes in Waitrose after they stopped the free coffee and newspapers People need to get a grip
  13. I think all cyclists on the road should be insured, including children under parents?insurance. At the moment there is a presumption that if a cyclist and a car/vehicle are involved in an accident it it the fault of the driver of the vehicle. With the revised Highway Code there ought to be the ability for drivers to claim off cyclists? insurance.
  14. Spanish pig farmers invade Lorca town hall in protest likened to Capitol Riots https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/spanish-pig-farmers-invade-lorca-town-hall-in-protest-likened-to-capitol-riots-vgtzg3f5g I?m not condoning such actions but it?s important little Hitlers realise they can?t ride roughshod over people. Vote the buggers out (Spelling)
  15. ULEZ was a money making racket using the green objectives as a smokescreen
  16. Sadly exdulwicher your examples are true. Of course most of them are providing a service and selling on the meta-data to others to number crunch. Sadiq though is providing no service - just fleecing motorists for tax. It?s an admission that ULEZ has been a complete failure as a revenue source
  17. Whatever the rights and wrongs of LTNs and any justifications for the greater good and so on, Mayor Kahn?s proposals raise very serious questions about the further erosions of our freedoms that we?ve seen chipped away under the pandemic. I realise mass surveillance already exists in this country and anyone who has banking apps for example and allows access to location is giving up huge quantities of information, including how fast your walking speed is I understand. Khan?s pay per mile means people will be monitored going about their daily lives. This already happens in China. Are people ready to accept it here?
  18. If the charge were to be ?2 per mile and your takeaway comes from a business 1 and a half miles away is ?3 added to the cost of your meal order? What if that item you ordered from Amazon comes from a warehouse miles away? Is a proportion of the travel charges added to your bill? Businesses will pass on these costs
  19. ?.More people have DIED in the UK because of his policies compared to other European countries - why would you claim he has done well on this measure?? Highly debatable. When all this is over (if ever) and there is a review to find the best way to prepare for future pandemics some formula might emerge. At the moment all we know is the pandemic met a world totally unprepared. Different countries have tried different measures to protect their populations and those with the more draconian measures have fared no better than the more liberal policies. Perhaps Sweden?s herd immunity approach will be proved to be the best. Scientists can?t agree and everyone has been making it up as we go along - which is quite understandable.
  20. I suspect most reasonable people see this latest hubbub for what is is - just the latest chapter in a Westminster bubble media inspired anti-Boris attack whipping gullible people up into a frenzy. (Remember how malign forces spent weeks trying to whip up interest in ?wallpaper gate? and 99% of the British people didn?t give a damn) Sure, Boris is no angel and it appears he?s been a bit naughty during lockdown. On the other hand a good number of people in this country are alive because of a speedy vaccine roll-out and have been saved from poverty and eviction from their properties thanks to furlough payments and other pandemic measures. The scales would seem to be tipped in his favour. My usual warning is ?be careful what you wish for?

So yeah even people who loathe him now - > many will have voted for him in the past) Unfortunately some people get a little over excited and foul-mouthed by my contributions and I?d hate to be responsible for any seizures or heart attacks. Besides, there are far more important matters than Boris-bashing tittle tattle
  22. The OP hasn?t given much of a description of the property. On the basis that there is a shared pathway to the house I would want to know if the services running from the road to the individual properties are also separately supplied to each house. If not, and they separate at a junction, where is that junction if something goes wrong and it needs digging up to repair? Do pipes, cables for one house run under the other?s plot and if there is a problem who pays and makes good? Is it clear who owns what part of the roof? Is the attic space clearly divided by a barrier or is it one space straddling both houses? My point is there might be so many covenants regarding joint liability for repair etc it could in fact be a share of freehold legally speaking. Your solicitor will point all this out.
  23. Interesting metaphor ?gravity? There was a time when gravity was understood in terms of Newtonian physics. Then along came Einstein who gave us a different view of gravity. Both work within their own paradigms but one sees the bigger picture, if you get my meaning.
