NOW GONE: Assorted vintage crockery - perfect for weddings!

Recommended Posts

Hi

We're selling the vintage mismatched crockery we collected for our wedding last year.

Looking to sell everything as one lot - we will not split it up. A lot cheaper than hiring crockery, it's perfect for a DIY wedding with a vintage/shabby theme! Alternatively might be good if someone's looking to open a cafe!

We have:

- 42 larger dinner plates

- 80 medium sized starter plates

- 32 desert bowls

- 85 tea cups and saucers

- 12 x Ikea flower vases (402.331.49)

- 3 x plastic transport boxes, plus assorted cardboard boxes.

We're looking for ?160 for the lot. Collection from Sydenham Hill, SE26.

James this is mostly gold edged so cannot go in a dishwasher which is why it is usually in a CS in the first place - it has no place in most people's modern world and honestly, none of it is even attractive. You have many worthwhile charity shops in Sydenham, if you still have this china, perhaps you would consider passing on your happiness in the form of largesse, so that others will be able to benefit, as you did?

We found another couple who wanted it for their wedding. Of course it "has no place in most people's modern world". It was a collection of crockery we used for our wedding and now will be be used at another wedding. The couple who bought it all obviously found it attractive.

We spent more than ?320 collecting it all over three months, probably 80% of that was buying from charity shops in south east London.

    • I saw a post a few days ago by the previous guys who stated the plough had given their land to someone else. if my memory serves me right, the guys are not selling trees this year. if I see their post again I will update with correct information in case I have got it wrong.
    • Niko has done several jobs at our place in Honor Oak.Recently we've called him out to replace s shower. We thought that the tiles needed stripping out  and replacing. However he explained that the tiles were perfectly adequate for what we wanted. That sums up Niko. He never recommends unnecessary work and is always conscious of cost. He is also a brilliant plumber who is available to offer free advice over the phone if necessary. He is also an incredibly nice bloke. Our go to plumber. He is fair reasonable and very professional. 5*. The only reluctance we have is that he may get too popular and next time we need him we may have a problem because he is so busy !!
