nhs direct and seldoc

I would like to sing my praaises to nhs direct and seldoc for the fantastic treatment i received this evening, i was having breathing problems and phonedd nhs direct for advice at 5.50pm, by 6.04 a seldoc gp called me back and invited me to go to seldoc, i was there at 6.20 and taken straight through and nebulised, given steroids and had two doctors sit with me the whole time, i left seldoc about 7.10 breathing as near to normal as possible, a huge thankyou to dr dhokia and the lady dr whose i didn't catch, how can we say anything against this service,thankyou so very much.

Happy to hear this but if you had breathing problems how on earth did you get yourself to SelDoc? And where is it?

At Dulwich Hospital isn't it?

yes. dulwich hospital, I also have always found the service fantastic and certainly preferable to A and E.

we have always found seldoc very good rung them about my little girl twice. they were very reassuring

good post. i hate hearing people slag off the nhs. sure, like anything else it can and does have its failings, but having lived in two countries with no public health i think it is sublime! glad you were so well and promptly taken care of.
