nesh = someone who is despised for feeling the cold.

If you were sitting too close to the coal fire as it was always freezing,

you might be yelled at "get away from that fire you nesh bugger, let someone else feel the benefit,

or do some ruddy work for a change that might warm you up if you're feeling nesh.

lugs = knots in the hair which prevent a comb going through it.
