Has anyone else been struck by a virus? My little one was off food for a few days and had a vaguely

snotty nose then did a sick and seems absolutely fine now. I, on the other hand, have been flattened for 3 days. Nearly passed out, off food, really tired.... Just wondered if it's doing the rounds?

Think we have had it too. Little un vomited 4 times, I didn't so much but upset tum, nausea, as you say flattened for 4 days, off food and EXHAUSTED. In fact, have been feeling a bit flat/low after it, have any of you had that too? Hoping it will clear away soon, but am surprised that the after effect still seems to be hanging around 6 days after I first got it.
Yep, I have had it twice this month, I got terrible stomach cramps, temperature, but once I was sick, I was fine. I too thought I had food poisoning but nope, it was a virus. Hope you feel better soon, it was not easy looking after a baby whilst being ill ( thank Goodness he didn't catch it!).
Oh dear. Sounds like the same thing. Hope you are all feeling back to normal soon. It took until yesterday to feel quite a lot better (Day 5!) but still not very energetic. I thought these things lasted 24 hours!!! Get well soon everyone - it is not funny looking after little ones when you're poorly xx
Ahh, I too thought I had food poisoning a couple of weeks ago - it came on really suddenly (unfortunately I was in PR park at the time so spent a good period of time vomiting by a tree - pleasant for all around - apologies if any forumites had to witness it!) and then was completely wiped out for the rest of the day/night and fairly jaded for the next two days. In a way glad it was a virus as the only thing I'd eaten which was different to my DH and DD was at a place we really like to eat, and was a bit sad that it would put me off going there for a while....
Ah. There is something going round then? I was wondering this. I have been feeling really faint and nauseous, stomach cramps, dizziness & now the beginnings of a cold. Then again I've been suffering everyday for 3 weeks now. So cant be this..?! There must of been another bug around 3 weeks ago as I knew a good few people who had 24 hours sickness, probably still traveling somewhere. Not nice.

    • I’ve tried to find details of surgeries being held before but not found any. The section of the Southwark website that details councillors’ surgeries says that: Your locally elected Councillors will be holding a roving surgery programme in the Dulwich Hill area to enable residents to raise any local issues. Residents will be notified by letter in advance of the date, time and specific streets/roads where the surgery will take place.  Surgeries are not held in August, on Bank Holidays, Easter or in Christmas Week.  Dulwich Hill Ward Councillors I’ve never seen any notification of surgeries being held, including on the DH councillors’ social media accounts. I don’t know if any other residents of Dulwich Hill have? Neighbouring wards all seem to have times and places posted for surgeries.
    • I wouldn't feel too bad about that. It's one of the few degree areas that you can do a BA or a BSc in, so it's a fairly wide-ranging and complex subject. Certainly Truss, Kwasi and Reeves seem to struggle with it.
    • I can't access the article - what's the gist?  I took the markets getting jittery when she was crying at PMQs to be a sign that they trusted her. But maybe it was because they were simply worried about any form of instability.  The NIC hikes have stymied the economy, which we could all see a mile off. Will a wealth tax improve things? Does anyone here think the trickle down has any impact and that chasing out the super rich will help things? Or are we just seeing off the biggest contributors to the economy? And has the Kwasi approach ever worked anywhere else?  Economics is not my strong point at all, I'd love to know others' opinions, but it seems to be she has few options, especially as the party is so divided.
    • does either of them have a surgery? probably not over summer, but I thought they had to give the opportunity for their constituents to meet them.
