Hi,

I am looking for a temporary nanny to look after our two girls (3 and 10) full-time from about 2nd November 2016 until just before Christmas (probably no later than about 21st December). The oldest goes to school in ED and the younger one will be at nursery at the same school, but mornings only. We would need them both taking to school and picking up each day (an insured car can be provided) and sometimes taking to their usual clubs after school hours. We live in ED.

Provisionally, hours would probably be no less than from about 8am to about 6.30pm 5 days a week, although occasionally this might be slightly different - if you are interested we could discuss in more detail. Between 9am and 11.45 both the girls would be at school/nursery. Some meal preparation would be required as well as general tidying up (mostly toys!) and light cleaning (although we have a cleaner twice a week, so this would be no more than the occasional wipe over work surfaces).

References and DBS check would be required and checked. A driving licence is also essential.

If you are interested, please PM me with some information about yourself, or with any questions. Many thanks.

    • The "for sale" section on this forum lets people offer things for free or cheaply. There are also existing schemes like Freecycle, and food banks. Isn't that simpler than having a barter system? You might have something to give away, but the person who wants it might not have anything you want. Or have I misunderstood how it works? I can see that offering services free might not fit into existing schemes, but depending on what they were, what would happen if things went horribly wrong eg someone wrecked your house? Sorry if the above sounds very negative.
    • I'm wondering why they would do that? Because surely positive reviews could only help them, and if they thought they might get negative reviews, shouldn't they have been addressing the reasons that might be (unless someone had an unwarranted grudge against them)? But in any case, how could they have stopped people posting reviews on here? PS I have corrected your typo! 😃
    • Agreed. Just stating as a historic fact they tried to stiffle reviews.
