Jackie9494
Hi I have a flat in East Dulwich and some cracks have appeared on the outside wall in the porch area and on the path leading to the property. Does anyone have any recommendations for structural engineers that could come out to East Dulwich to take a look? Thanks Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/124282-cracks-in-wall/ Share on other sites
Sandberg1860
HLS are pretty good.Horne and Littlemore Structural Engineers.T: 01707 336017E: [email protected]We dealt with Julie Littlemore on a structural reinforcement job over in Clapham last year - she's very good. Their office is in Welwyn Garden City but they work on loads of things in London.Alex Sandberg LLP Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/124282-cracks-in-wall/#findComment-1050927 Share on other sites
Jeremy
You should go via your buildings insurance, they will appoint someone to inspect and/or monitor the property. ths0105
Just be aware that if you notify the issue to your insurer as subsidence or similar that they will take a dim view and may crank up your premium for all eternity. The crack may just be due to natural shrinkage due to the warmer weather (happens in our place every year).
