Out of hours number for Property In lettings

Hi there.

Does anyone have an out of hours number for the property in team. We are letting one of their properties and the boiler has just gone kaput!

There are no leaks but I have no hot water and a family to get to work/school.

If you can't raise anyone you're perfectly entitled to get it fixed for a reasonable sum. Keep a receipt. They should have advised an out of hours number when you rented it (assuming they are managing it for the landlord - if they're not, they aren't the people to call anyway)

I think I would have thought in your shoes "well that's my bad luck, the boiler going out of action at the weekend" and waited until Monday. I wouldn't expect a small independent letting agency to have an out of hours number for run of the mill household problems. Perhaps I'm out of the loop.

Don't think a same day turnaround for broken boiler is realistic. Especially not on the weekend.

If you've got a manual for the boiler (or can look at one on internet) check (diagnositcs ?) for pilot light gone out, water pressure not sufficient, etc. Many of these basic things can be sorted by following the instructions for remediation and they're designed for the boiler user to follow.
