Driving to Orpington early weekday morning

Hello - I need to drive from Peckham Rye to Orpington on Friday morning, arriving Orpington by approx 8am. Anyone do this journey regularly and know roughly what time I should leave or if traffic is really bad? Thanks v much

All depends whether you are going via Bromley Town Centre and up Bromley Common Road. Also are you driving from Peckham via Sydenham to Beckenham, or going up the Bromley Road.

I drive from Dulwich to Orpington (the station end) regularly and out of rush hour takes me 45 minutes. Around midnight it takes 20 - 25 minutes. I would allow a good hour plus.

By train from Peckham Rye or Nunhead? It would take about 40 minutes
