Why not donate straight to St Christopher's online and buy your tree from a small independent retailer like Paul at Indaco, 483 Lordship Lane. Next door to the old Barcelona bar. That way you can support the charity direct and a small local business direct. Much better than Pines and Needles who will probably send less of your money to charity. -

Hi - here to add to the list of recommendations for Paul Knight & Sons (contact at 07985 104 027), they came and helped us out with a load of unwanted cardboard. Prompt and super helpful, highly recommended. -
Not as much stress as on the tiny birds! Please don’t let your valid concern for one species overshadow that for many others. Bells give mice, shrews and birds etc. a better chance than no bell at all. Elastic collars are a good way of ensuring safety.
