I figured I'd start bringing the mocklet to play groups, stories, music that sort of thing, once he was able to sit up.

Now that at almost seven months hes crawling and sitting i figured it a good time to start. But looking at the southwark sheets, everything has 'term time only' plastered all over it.

Can anyone suggest things to do during the holidays? Is there a different time table out there for hols?

Any advice/suggestions gratefully received.

There's bumps and babes on a monday - goose green community centre, ?1.50 donation and you get tea etc, 10-12. Think that would suit him - there are toddlers but also lots of smaller babies from newborn up, and quite a few crawlers. well done him on crawling so early btw!

I'm pretty sure rhyme time at the library (11-11.30, Wednesdays) is still on - maybe someone on here can confirm, I've only been once in recent months as mine just too big and unruly for it now. But great for the stage your son is at. It's free.

Also Peckham Rye One o clock club is open 1-4 most days, and during the holidays it's open 10-12 Mon, Weds, Fri. Outside prob less good for him but inside there's soft mats etc for crawlers/pre walkers. Rocking horse etc.

Crawling already, wow!

Rhyme Time at Dulwich Library is still on over the holidays - we generally don't go but a couple of weeks ago when the sun was shining (remember that? Starting to feel like a distant memory!) they held it outside in the small park to the side of the library and we joined in.

Inside at the 1 o'clock club is great for small babies, lots of fun stuff for them to explore in the baby corner which is for 18 months and under.

P

Thanks for the suggestions. May wander down to the 10 o'clock 1 o'clock club tomorrow then. Is it at that new cafe thingy?

And the little blighter has been crawling for six weeks and is toddling against the sofa. I think he may have spent about 11 months gestating, its the only explanation. (plus they're all early walkers on the mums side, it's those strong irish farmers legs genes).

Where's the goose green community centre btw? Can't think of a likely candidate on the green.

    • what type of car was it, if they are in demand, might be helpful info.
    • Which has, unfortunately, closed. Au Ciel is much better than Gail's. Big bakery in the parade of shops near Rocca in Dulwich Village with all the seats outside - you can't miss it. Normally a big queue outside at weekends with walkers and cyclists topping up on carbs and coffee!
    • Hi, just to say there was an attempted car theft at the FH end of Underhill over Friday night. Without wanting to go into all the detail, they were pretty adamant and took a great deal of time to (try) take the car. The police came within minutes, and drove around etc.. The police said the car was in demand at the moment. I don’t know if that was brand or model. notwithstanding what the police said, all car owners should be vigilant and neighbours. These thieves were interrupted twice by neighbours, but the thieves came back etc and the neighbours didn’t put 2+2 together as to what was happening to the car. The thieves were two guys, on the cctv it looked like they were wearing grey, but it may have been black (cctv can look odd at night). My neighbours said they were black. They had a bag with them, no doubt carrying tools and they may have been dropped off by a car, that is being investigated.  Take care!!
    • Chain of cafe.. upmarket. One in village.. Been there for at least 3 years. On same side of street as detached houses, one which usually opens her garden for charity. No not burgers, sarnies and cakes, coffee, bread.. eat in or take away..  Further down from pub, same side and between pub and Dulwich Picture Gallery…
