hello,

I currently lead a baby music class in West Hampstead for babies up to age three which has times throughout the week and am planning to start a similar regular class in the East Dulwich area. The classes are for a mix of ages from babies up to age three so are sibling friendly and involve sing alongs, dancing and percussion/instrument playing. The classes are always drop in, ?5/class and would be Monday/Wednesday/Saturday mornings and Tuesday afternoons in East Dulwich.

Ideally I will be starting the classes in the next few weeks and would appreciate any feedback regarding interest/need for such classes in the area and what times/days would be best! There seem to be quite a few other baby music classes in East Dulwich already but they seem to be only once a week, more expensive, age specific or require a term commitment so it appears there may be a need for a class such as mine.

Any feedback would be much appreciated!

All the best,

Bea

Bea - I'd start a fresh thread if I were you - that way you'll have everyone look at it fresh - we're always looking for new toddler classes! There was (or is) a great one that sounds very similar to your idea at a local pub on a Friday morning and they charge 3 or 4 pounds I think. I think maybe mornings are best generally as the kiddies are wide awake and generally in a good mood. Its good to have a varied age groups for those moms with more then one kid, but also for those of us who's little one loves watching the older kids too. Good luck - we'll definitely support you if you start up!

Come sing, dance and play percussion instruments with your baby in a relaxing, sociable, positive atmosphere! Please see the timetable below. Classes start on Monday October 4th. I'd love to see you there!

Tuesday 3:30-4:30

Wednesday 3:30-4:30

    • I’m currently conducting exploratory research into menstrual health education in UK secondary schools and would really value the insight of PSHE leads, Heads of Year, or pastoral staff.    The research aims to understand:   How the menstrual cycle is currently taught within the RSHE framework Where schools feel confident — and where there may be gaps Whether students are taught and  asking questions around the full menstrual cycle, symptoms, wellbeing and conditions such as PMS/PMDD or endometriosis How schools support students in feeling empowered to understand their bodies and seek help appropriately Whether education around nutrition, lifestyle, and menstrual wellbeing is currently addressed   The long-term goal is to explore whether there is a need for additional, age-appropriate, medically informed support on the menstrual cycle.  I’m not selling a programme and there is no obligation beyond a 30 minute informal chat online (Unpaid). All conversations will be confidential and used only to inform the research. If you work in a UK secondary school and would be willing to share your perspective, I would be extremely grateful to hear from you. • Nice topic and nice song!  1) Definitely top of Canonbie, looking North. 2) What used to be Francesca Cabrini school at the top of FHR. 3) Honor Oak playground, next to Camberwell New cemetery.
