Morning all - I'm taking our girls (3 and 8 months) to Italy for a few days tomorrow (by myself - OH hiking in Scotland right now!!). Flying luxury Ryan air - so not much room (money) for excess baggage. What's the best way of negotating the airports etc do you think? There's a push chair/hire car/car seats waiting for us at the other end (along with my friend who will hopefully scoop me off the floor and pour alcohol into me!)

I was thinking Trunki (just ordered yesterday so really hope it comes in time) for older girl, sling for younger (trying to remember that it has to fit in my backpack when I get on the flight). Do you think that'll work? I've no experience of 'driving' a Trunki so don't know if I'm going to love or curse it.

Anyone any thoughts? (Apart from that I need my head read!)

xxxx

Hello love, M loves hers and they are fab for getting around the airport (although leave a little extra time to negotiate corners!!). They're also really good for keeping all the stuff for the kids on the plane in one place - you can get a suprising amount in them (we manage colouring books and pens, portable dvd, books, couple of small games, stickers).

Have a fab time - see you next week xx

    • He wasn't great when interviewed on Channel 4 News this evening either, but he may get some respite tomorrow with the breaking Nandy story.
    • I was referring more to his performance at PMQs yesterday. It was quite a riot! Almost topped Mastermind
    • Agreed, he should not be held accountable over the mess up over release of prisoners. On the other hand he did himself no favours with his gaffes on the BBC Master Mind programme where he passed on five questions. Where he did answer, here are some of his responses.... When asked who succeeded Henry VIII, Lammy incorrectly answered “Henry VII,” When asked which French scientist won Nobel prizes for both physics and chemistry?” Lammy responded with “Antoinette” When asked which fortress was built to defend Paris and later used as a prison, he answered “Versailles". When asked which variety of blue English cheese is often taken with port, he answered "Leicester" If nothing else he was entertaining.
    • Why do you think he should be toast? All these problems with the prison service apparently go way back, long before Labour took over.
