  1. Also, like to say that posting info on forums like this is very useful so please keep doing so. I rarely pop in here but when I do and see posts like this I am able to pass info and concerns on directly to the people that need to know.
  2. Well known to services including Southwark Street Population team I am informed.
  3. Please PM me details of any Lewisham concerns. I will pass on to rogue landlord enforcement team in the borough.
  4. If it is who I think it is then he is not sleeping out. Is his name Paul?
  5. http://www.streetlink.org.uk/ is he is sleeping rough. No Second Night Out cannot help as they only take referrals from Street Outreach teams. Has he got both legs by the way?

    Crap London

    The whole of Woolwich
  7. I actually just dropped in following a moment of boredom and cannot believe how things are on here now. Banal yes, but so many picky little fookers picking arguments with each other and setting up in opposition. Are many original posters left? Gonna stick to West Wickham Mums!!

Exactly this. Word for word! Torres would win in 2020. With this election their rule is shortened by 3 years.
  9. My Cockerpoo is actually a dream!
  10. Every Labradoodle I have ever met has been a fruitcake! Fun though.
  11. Sick of him. Like it or not he was democratically elected (although his next election I fear may be less then democratic). Unless he carks it of natural causes we are in for a shit storm, but leaving the EU means we will suck up to him as much as we possibly can, probably by necessity, so probably best to develop a thick skin early and just hope that he has a degree of sanity and does not start a war! If someone kills him it will be a shitstorm of biblical proportions!
  12. Not being flippant. Did Paul have both legs?
  13. I think the phrase Tory Scum needs to be unpicked. Does it means that all Torres are scum, or does it refer to the scum of the Tory party? People who deliberately talk out private members bills say to protect women from domestic abuse because it is a hobby to them? For me it is undoubtably the latter. I know some incredibly compassionate (and in my opinion misguided) Tories, who could never be referred to as scum. I also hear of others that are bordering on fascist muslim hating, profit before everything, Scum! I personally think John McDonnel is close to the same thing for the left. Comes across as a righteous bully boy. Anyway, off to get a tyre changed then last day off work before Chrimbo! Merry Xmas EDFers!
  14. Neither No second Noght Put or St a Mungo's can take direct referrals. No Second Night Out will take them through streetlink, Mungos through the local council. If these people are sleeping out then StreetLink has to be your first point of call. It may not be that this has already been done however. For instance a number of rough sleepers at the moment are refusing to move back to their place of local connection. One chap I know has a flat on Newcastle but is sleeping in a local park. Another has been offered 2 Flats by Greenwich yet is still in a tent having refused them. If the couple are called N & D then they were housed Thursday but may still be begging out. Only way into services these days is through Outreach or housing options.
  15. It was the will of the misinformed people at one moment in time. Thats about it.
  16. Has anyone got any ideas why the council might seem so shoddy nowadays?
  17. I am umming and ahhing about whether I want one. Really I want something economical, reliable, wi th enough space in it for camping holidays so I don't have to pile up half the luggage and equipment on the kids laps. It's between an estate and a SUV for me, but the question I cannot get past is how the hell does anyone afford one? They seem to start at around ?22,000, which on a combine s family income of about ?75k doesn't not seem possible when the mortgage sucks most of that out the bank!
  18. I have a colleague who's job title is Head of Serious Violence. Now that's a job title!!!

    Gangland

I meant Southwark are the worst when you ask them to take somebody.

There is a pan london agreement for rehousing people in danger. Sadly it rarely actually works because boroughs rarely adhere to its agreed guidelines. Nowadays I don't even bother trying to invoke it. Southwark are actually one of the worst for this.

    Gangland

Happens far too often in Lewisham sadly and too many times the perpetrators get acquitted.

It's getting a hell of a lot better actually!
