  1. Loved it. Love Star Wars and always will.
  2. Much of the serious youth violence that occurs in Lewsiham emanates from Turnham. I used to have two houses on Dalrymple road and my tenants were always getting attacked near that bridge. It's well known for it sadly.
  3. Do you mean the bridge near the Turnham estate going into dalrymple road?
  4. Lol guess it means me. 1994. Then had some time in Camden, Clapham, Maida Vale, then back in 2002 til 2013.
  5. 2013 we moved out. Like I say the lane was best for me about 2009/10. After that it felt it began catering for a different type of person - or maybe I just got older.
  6. The Lane was best in about 2009/10. Downhill since then imo. Still it has a long way to go before it hits the depths of the 90s so not too much to worry about at the moment. Southwark council must be benefitting from increased taxation on business lets? (Presuming they get this money, so not all bad as the elderly and infirm may get a modicum of care?

    Star Wars

Love it. Watch them regularly with my boy. Cannot wait for Saturday 18th when all his pals and their dads are off to see the new one!

  10. LOL oh dear. That didn't fit the plan did it? An increased share of the vote!
  11. OK perhaps not wants to. But he and others supporting this are certainly prepared and even preparing to do so. What gives them the right? What if the children who will inevitably die in these raids were your children? Are their lives less valuable? Is it any less disgusting?
  12. Cameron should be ashamed of himself for that pathetic comment. Anyone trying to defend it should also be equallŷ ashamed and is equally pathetic. It disgusts me quite frankly.
  13. He's a sad, sad man who wants his war. Wants to kill innocent people. There's a name for people like that.
  14. I don't understand the blood lust. I like what Corbyn said today. There will be no hiding place for those voting for it when the inevitable massacre of civilians happens.

Agree. This will equal more misery and homelessness for thousands. The Tory way.

Just think what they could do if they are serious! Scarey huh?

What I do for a living probably skews my perception but I do not come across many areas and schools nowadays that aren't affected by serious youth violence, and having moved to Bromley it sells more safe for my kids. However, I sit in serious youth violence panels so maybe I see issues where there aren't any. It sort of freaks me out and makes me worry. Sometimes I feel like loving even further away tbh!
  18. It's getting worse in terms of gang violence. I am not sure I would be happy with my kids in any school in Southwark, Lambeth, Lewisham. No coincidence that all my colleagues who work with serious youth violence live way out of London. Was at a meeting yesterday discussing the murder of Nathan Murray. It was so matter of fact the way this killing was spoken about as almost "having to happen", and that was by the professionals dealing with the case. Of course they had deep sadness about it, but the inevitability of it was very telling. Keep saving, or move to Hastings! :( Disclaimer: Hastings is full of cheap heroin. I will not be held responsible for the subsequent addiction of you or any of your loved ones.

  20. I think it is in the public interest in that I read somewhere that HIV was becoming stigmatised again. High profile people with a positive diagnosis can help re-break down this ridiculous stigma!
  21. Quite rich coming from a party trying to starve its own citizens. Not sure how any Conservative party member or supporter can take the moral high ground after what is being done in their name. Lady, but no Van

Can I use add that streelink are not an outreach team. They simply take intelligence on rough sleepers and pass it on. The outreach team in Southwark is run by St Mungo's Broadway and is called the Street Popilation outreach Team, or SPOT. As said in the ED thread I will contact southwards rough sleeper coordinator later today about this.
  23. Southwark council has a rough sleeper coordinator. I will bring this up with him later today and he can send outreach out. Big problem is that following government cuts, there are few resettlement pathways for Rough sleepers with lower support needs. It may also be that if this lady has not exercised her treaty rights then she my not be eligible for assistance.
  24. We're all angry this morning quids. News like this is hard to take in and impossible to empathise with. I'm coming to the great exhibition this afternoon! I'll buy you a pint! :) It's too awful!
  25. Strange that the families of his victims agree with the sentiment that he should have been tried. But what do they know? And so the killing continues. Is that what you want? More attacks like in Paris?
