Dog turds and fishy make up!

And these stories are BS. My Ma in Law and a very close colleague know JC very well and these stories are tripe. However, I do agree with ???s (SHOCK) that once he has changed the political landscape for the better I can see him standing down.

Almost certainly a pre-cursor to Corbyn? Must be a death knell for the other Blairite leadership candidates?? Sadiq Khan or Zac Goldsmith? Non-contest?

What's an ITV twitter account? Can't work out the acronym.

The rascism thing was a bit tongue in cheek, but a number of people I have met have gone on to mention "colourds" or regurgitated Britain First tripe. For clarity I am in Hayes but kids go to school in West Wickham. I do actually love it!

Yep - Rollin Records is a damn fine shop!

We have greatly missed the Pickhurst this summer. Now a Miller and Carter steak restaurant. Expensive!

Was discussing with someone from Brent Council CYP the other day about the affects of closure. Other than that I know very little. Sorry.

House prices are on the up quickly here, especially since the announcement of the extension to thebakerloo line. It's a wonderful place to live with tons more space than ED. schools are indeed on a different level and it was quite embarrassing how far behind my son was after one year in reception in ED. Schools tend to be split, infant, juniors here which I think is a good thing as children are more confined to their own age groups. There is also amazing green space and woods for such things as dog walking, in fact dogs feature quite heavily. Shops wise, we have independent butchers, Larrats, who started out on Lordship Lane many years ago and rival billy Rose for stock, quality and helpfulness, M&S food hall and 2 Waitrose if you are that way inclined, a new Lidl being built if you are not. The drawback I have found, and for me it is a big one, is the lack of diversity. West Wickham and Hayes are white!it is quite startling how things can get so white in just 8 miles. At the two last elections the predominant visible political party was UKIP. You can be talking quite happily to a school mum at the gates and they will readily drop in some casual racism such as calling people coloureds or spouting some Britain First nonesense. The other thing is that everyone went to school with each other and have known each other for years. You don become party to the sordid little affairs and hat reds that have festered away since school days. We counter this by clinging on to our ED friends and choosing local friends here carefully (in fact most people we have befriended here are blow ins from Brixton and East Dulwich) Oh, and the pubs are shit! However, a short journey puts you in Hayes and the excellent George for food and beers, or in Keston / Biggin Hill where there are too many to mention. It takes longer than you think it would to get used to the move. We have been here over 2 years now and are just settling. People are generally more friendly on the surface than in more urban London (until you discover they are a closet rascist). Oh, and Bromley council are appalling. You virtually have to empty your own bins, or so it feels after being so mollycoddled in Southwark. Overall, it is an excellent place to live, especially if you are fed up with ED, need more space for a reasonable amount of money or want to feel a bit more suburban with a dog. If you, however are seeking culture, diversity or a decent pub. look elsewhere.

Also went ten years ago and agree with Loz. Trinidad is a must! Amazing place. Havana is also a must, but agree, would buy a package and then get some trips out. Internal flights are a little hairy, we flew Venezuela airlines from Cayo Coco to Havanna and I swear blind the plane was held together with hairy string. Amazing country where it is almost impossible not to live on rum? Even the cheapest cigars are lovely as are the people. Even when I thwarted my own mugging in Havana the lad trying to do it applauded me for it. Havana has some iconic sites that for me are a must see!

Error Loz, they were found fit for work. I think this is the point here. You seem to be deliberately missing it. Can't think why.

Robert Stanford AKA Stanford Estates

What business is this? Have you any more information? ETA he is an estate agent, if you have a specific issue with the way this operates please PM me. -
Emotions get the better of me when my clients die on the streets because of the Tory cuts! Beg you pardon for that! Stand by the rest of it though!

Yawn. Is politics about power or about policies? Is it not true that someone prepared to call the Tories out for the bunch of coonts that they are might be able to help move policies away from the "blame the poor and make them suffer, be scared of Muslims and immigrants" shit that we have today into something fairer? If that happens, regardless of who is in power, would that not look like success and something worth fighting for to people like me who are voting for or who have already voted for Jeremy Corbyn? The thing people seem to lose sight of is it is not ideological hate the Tories politicos that is playing out, although for some people it is easy to blame it on this. It is more of a movement towards someone who will just take a fairer look at things and try to effect a shift in public opinion / media opinion. The horse shit in the newspapers over the weekend I think proves how scared they are of Corbyn. The Osama comments and the Falklands comments. I mean you have to be a total fucktard to believe that don't you? The simple matter is that due to Osborne's cuts we could not afford to defend the Falklands anyway, so let's negotiate over them to make them safer? Is that not sensible? Is it tragic that Osama was killed, or tragic he did not get yo face the relatives of the thousands of victims he killed? The right wing and centrist media are so scared of this man it is ridiculous. It is almost pathetic and would be laughable except that people seem to believe it. Oh and by the way, putting "Comrades" at the end of your post makes you lose the argument immediately because it sort of dissipates any real thought away from your post and opinion, and places you in the playground.

People want this to set up illegal supplies, usually on houses converted into lots of smal studio flats without planning permission. It is extremely common and in fact a London wide task force is being set up to identify and address these rogue landlords.

Large vans parking on residential street?
ratty replied to Calsug's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
You see this is it. Is it legal? yes. Is it fair and considerate? No! Is it annoying? Almost certainly. -
They really are running scared! Makes me think JC is the only choice! (I've already voted for him)
-
Blah Blah is correct and concise. UC is an unmitigated disaster and will deliberately cause misery!

It has not come from a report but the task force set up to look at the impact. Imminent risk of homelessness means errrrr imminent risk of homelessness. Ie rent arrears likely to be grounds for eviction, landlords informing clients that they will evict as payments no longer able to go straight to them, family budgets over stretched. When findings are published I'll be happy to send them on if I get authority to do so. At the moment DWP are refusing to discuss this. So much for open government eh?
-
Over one third of benefit reliant households will be at imminent risk of homelessness once Universal Credit begins in Southwark, Lambeth and Lewisham.
-
The point is, he will start people thinking on a different level, instead of being scared of migrants and Muslims the public might start wondering why we are spending billions of pounds on a weapon that, if ever used, would signal our immediate and total destruction. Or why we are allowing such tax evasion by huge companies whilst hitting the vulnerable and sick with more hardships. It doesn't have to be radical, just fairer. If Corbyn forces the Tories to change some of their policies to get re-elected, or forces a debate on the downright lies we are fed by the media then has not the country benefitted? Perhaps because of my role in society I am more sensitive to the cruelties this government are inflicting on the poor and the young. But that's my viewpoint and I have voted accordingly and will continue to do so!

Lidl ones are best -
Last client my wife had from there was in their 30s. Appropriate? From what I have heard there is more to come bout this. Had contact from some journalists who seem to be on a specific trail.
