civilservant
in ED! at the top of Crystal Palace Road, next to the leisure centre...Will Robert de Niro be spotted in Sainsbury's, or even M&S, soon? Sally Eva
this is what Wikipedia thinks it is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tribeca Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/129330-tribeca/#findComment-1066180 Share on other sites
civilservant
and that's what most people think Tribeca isso i'm bemused to see it being used to big up a patch of ground that used to house a HAir PROducts WArehouse NExt to Goose Green, ED's favourite dog toilet. something like HaProWaNeGG would surely be a more appropriate name than 'The Tribeca' Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/129330-tribeca/#findComment-1066547 Share on other sites
Seabag
Thank your lucky stars you're not in "Outta Crofton" (park)I have to avert my eyes from that one too, and there were some "cribs" going in CP I believeI mean, what's wrong with a Whisteria Court, or a Glades Court I ask Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/129330-tribeca/#findComment-1066562 Share on other sites
NewWave
i saw the signage on the hoarding and sniggered."Tribeca'- Triangle below Canal Street is how the area got its name.I don't know of any Canal Street in ED. Nor any canal. Its pathetic giving the building such a pseudo hipster name.I'm now expecting to see "Williamsburg Hights''Dumbo Court' 'Hoxton House' cropping up in our 'nabe Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/129330-tribeca/#findComment-1067363 Share on other sites

civilservant
some people's bottoms are other people's tops - maybe i'll leave that thought there for now...my thinking was that that's the north end, Sue, from where the wind blows bitter and cold down the road from Goose Green in winterwhether bottom or top, "I live in Tribeca - no 'The Tribeca' - at the bottom of Crystal Palace Road" - its very snigger-worthy. only a developer could come up with that, while busily concreting over every square centimetre in sight.
