  1. Crates are a very good idea in most cases but it really isn't a good idea to have it in a bedroom. That's a road to separation anxiety. Best to have it in a kitchen or spare room. There are a lot of useful tips about crates online.
  2. We've asked Hector at Malibu Catsitting for years and he's great. He cycles round and then tweets about each cat's daily wellbeing (without giving away any locations.) http://www.malibu-cat-sitting.co.uk
  3. I have little memory of this film at all. I'd forgotten most of it within about half an hour of seeing it.
  4. I think your husband is probably right. I doubt you could do it well for less but a good architect should be able to advise before committing to anything.
  5. George Monkhouse is really great. he has a clinic on certain days on Ivanhoe Road. https://georgemonkhouse.com
  6. Despicable but unsurprising, given the atmosphere the tories have created over the last few years.
  7. I think at the moment it might be hard to find a pool (other than a private one) that would allow it. A friend of mine who was a swimming teacher had to change career during the first lockdown.
  8. The only way of putting your mind at rest is to get tested, which you're doing, so that's good.
  9. Fireworks should soon become a thing of the past. I used to love them but there's no justification for them now.
  10. Struggling to understand the OP. Teach your kids to dismount and push their bikes on pavements and pedestrian crossings. Who knows, they may then grow up to be considerate cyclists?
  11. Thank you DF, much appreciated. 12. When I booked on the NHS website, they let me book the 2nd jab at the same time. One down, one to go!
  13. The simple truth is that there is no such thing as a good deal, as the deal we had was the best available. It will be many years before we can get out of this mess. The damage it has done and will do to this country (apart from those who pushed it through in their own interests) is immeasurable.
  14. Uncleglen up to his usual nonsense I see.
  15. Local businesses are not obliged to advertise on this forum. Many have been unfairly (and occasionally fairly) bashed here for years.
  16. It's the stench of democracy burning.
  17. Chicken liver is a good level entry option!
  18. I've used it a lot and pretty much every day I get a message saying something along the lines of "you've been somewhere where you might be in trouble:, followed a few seconds by one that more or less says "oh don't worry, it's fine." It's an almost pointless exercise, even if you use it.

    BBC news

Presumably they were saying something in support of this dreadful government by an "unnamed senior source" at Downing Street.

    Sausages

Nip up to Borough Market and go to The Ginger Pig.
  21. As annoying as they are, Virgin are overall the best. Wise to hassle them about the bills though.
  22. Your GP must be providing this service or an alternative. If they won't you should change your GP.
  23. Stay at home, make a pumpkin lantern and watch a scary film. The whole trick or treat thing is an American import, like Fathers' Day, baby showers and gender reveal parties.
