  1. Was there this morning at 11.30ish. It moved pretty quickly (speed of entry of course unrelated to standing distance but everyone observing the 2 metre rule). The end of queue was by the main gates and it took around 20 mins. The timings do vary a bit depending on how long people are spending in the shop but my last few visits have seen a reasonable speed. The longest I've waited was when the queue was almost on to Dog Kennel Hill and that was about 40 mins.
  2. Not at the moment, no. timemassageuk Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > You can try mobile massage. If in London I > recommend Time for a massage. 3. Even if this were true (it isn?t) it would make no difference to how long you have to queue. Better than too close. dbboy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Started queuing at 10.50am, got into the store > 11.35am, 45min wait with the queue all the way out > and starting to go UP Dog Kennel Hill. > > SOME people are still yet to grasp the concept of > what 2m actually is, rather than them thinking 2m > is is akin to 8 or 10m, which results in the queue > being much longer than it needs to be.

    Stay Alert

We are told to be guided by common sense, thereby placing all the responsibility on the shoulders of a confused public. You can go to the park and be within 2 metres of absolutely anyone, unless they are someone you know, in which case you can only be within 2 metres of them one at a time. Sigh....

  7. The first two are very good indeed considering the limitations. They are not a bundle of laughs though, so be warned if you are looking for escapism.
  8. I don't go often but the last couple of times it's been about 20 mins or so.
  9. Is this thread about the Illuminati? 🙄
  10. That?s horrible. You should definitely report this. I hope your pooch is recovering.

  12. There are no soft options. This country is failing badly. In no small part due to the lack of observation of the rules. This mentality of "being kind" about it and "what's the problem if people are distancing" is one of the reasons we have one of the worst death rates in Europe. It's not OK to go out unless you are exercising or shopping and even then you need to be careful. Why is your exceptionalism more important than anything else? Go to the park but don't sit around in it. binkylilyput Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The point being that those with available outside > space need to be kinder and stop finger pointing > at those who choose to sit down in a park within a > safe distance from others for a little bit. > > Not having outside space available (which the vast > majority of East Dulwichers do) during this time > is really harsh. > > As with most things, this lockdown is hitting the > socially disadvantaged hardest.......and the > judgements and scandal from people who have no > need to sit in a park is really shameful.
  13. Just back from DKH. Stock a bit less good than last time but they had eggs.
  14. Because it's against the rules and as the poster said, many don't have their own outside space but are able to abide by the rules. It's as if these people think they're special and don't have to do what everyone else does (like the ignorant faction among the joggers.) Their mentality (plus weak lockdown enforcement) is one of the reasons we have such horrific numbers now compared to the rest of Europe. 15. I only started using it after we had already had the virus but that doesn't matter. The idea is it takes s snapshot of any given day. Really important that people use it whether they've had the virus or not.

  17. Well this is bollox. I take it seriously and am annoyed by the things you mention but it IS the fault of the Tories. We've been very poorly served. Haven't you noticed the correlation between those who aren't taking the lockdown seriously and the right wing? fishbiscuits Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Too many people not taking this seriously. > Sunbathing, going for a leisurely stroll for > coffee/ice creams, drinking beers in the park, > garden parties and BBQs, people walking > side-by-side on the pavement and not making space > for others. > > Probably the same people constantly moaning on > social media about this is all the Tories fault.

    Heresy?

Anyone with more than one brain cell knows how the Tories want the NHS gone for their profit. I have zero tolerance for what they have done to this country. uncleglen Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > edcam Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > I?d prefer the government hadn?t let the NHS > down, > > both prior to and during the pandemic. Heresy?

I?d prefer the government hadn?t let the NHS down, both prior to and during the pandemic. I?d also prefer that Brexit and the mood of anti-immigration in this country hadn?t done so much to undermine so many who work in the NHS but the clapping every week does at least unite people in being thankful for what we have.
  20. Enjoyed first ep of Ozark but then got bored quite quickly. The Outsider is another good one worthy of a binge.
  21. We finally did The Sooranos. All 6 seasons. Amazing! The binge I recommend above all others is The West Wing.

There is no evidence at all that sunshine destroys this virus. Dangerous to suggest otherwise at the moment.
